Oi we have a new one? Where'd Christian Bale go?
@potatis: I don't know, it's weird. Because I feel it's because of the age difference, but I know there barely is one. At the same time, 21 year olds also feel too young. It's my own fault though for not feeling I am my age.

I know some people around here have picked up on that for no reason other than getting together for a drink, but it's not a massive thing as far as I know.

I keep seeing people complaining that every other forced update is a systemwide update that will reset everything as if it were a fresh install and they have to set everything up again.
I also keep reading about people receiving updates so half-assedly written and pushed that they get stuck in infinite reboot loops or where drivers are wrong or poorly compiled and systems become unusable.
That sort of shit plus the snooping-even-if-you-disable-it plus the really broken interface really turn me off.

Update!
Since I copied the entirety of my drive into a larger drive and there was a lot of unused space left over, I created an additional partition to take up that remaining space. I've been moving about half my files to that one to even out the used/free space.
For those with OCD about the moved files not keeping their original created/modified dates, you can use the robocopy utility from the command prompt which will do just that. (Well- copy. You'll have to manually delete the original copies)

Now that you mention it, I just looked it up and the very few vendors in this area that carry the GTX980 actually have it more expensive than the GTX1050. Not worth it.
I'd like to have a proper graphics card because even though the i5/i7 come with integrated graphics, my current experience with integrated graphics is that it's quite constricting.
I don't put a lot in the cloud but I do have backup drives, so a second internal drive is amongst the lowest priorities (like a second monitor). Which, speaking of monitors, I'm a bit disappointed by the display market. This guy has been right for six years (or fourteen depending on which of his articles you read)

"Cheap" GPU - isn't. The cheapest I can get is a GTX1050 and it's more than I was willing to spend.
And don't get me started on modern monitors - they all do exactly 60Hz. No less, no more. The next step is exactly 120Hz and as "gamer" gear they cost three times as much. The 4:3 LCD monitor I bought 9 years ago does 85Hz and the CRT I had before could do 100Hz without breaking a sweat. It's not just "not doing better" - it's going several steps backwards!

Everytime somebody mentions Overwatch, I think of Firewatch first and wonder what obscure path of the game they are talking about that I never heard of. Over and over. I never learn.

I'll have a look at that stuff, thanks!
What would you call an older mid-range graphics card? I've been out of the loop so long that the last thing I know is the nvidia FX5600 I bought twelve years ago.

Both. I did believe it was also used for raytracing, actually. Even if it doesn't, it would still be a great improvement during modelling. Anything slightly complex becomes excruciatingly difficult to work on.

Well. My main problem is that I have a laptop with Intel Integrated Graphics 3000. It kind of sucks for tasks that get any more demanding than a spreadsheet. It can run older games but sometimes I need to do 3D rendering and that brings it to its knees.
A whole new computer is almost entirely outside my budget at the moment. Perhaps this contraption could be a relatively inexpensive way to give a mostly decent computer a much better graphics system.

Thanks guys ^^
Every house in the USA looks the same though, do Architects there even bother designing anything?
Happy NaNth birthday!
I also read things like the calculator holding your result hostage until you give it a rating in the app store.
The truth is I'm still turned off computers altogether after reading anything and everything about W10...

I looked all over GParted but there didn't seem to be a more automated way. Copying and pasting seemed to work except for the flags.
As for dd, I only had to copy the one sector - the MBR. So as far as I know I don't need to worry about it skipping sectors.

Despite this being the second one, I still can't think of you as a family man.
Congratulations mate! How much will this push back The Core?
Except if it's live. The time is unacceptable.
Looks good. Can't afford it though, I'll have to pass

Urby you cheat.
Striker - is that even a regex?
