Happy birthday! I'm too lazy to write down that link, but the solution is to step one key forward. For example, g = h, r = t, o = p, that means that "grroa://" = "https://". It's a YouTube video link, by the way.

That would be nice. I ended up switching to Blender instead of fragMOTION due to the lack of tutorials.

The best way to learn is to play maps (and mods too) that are specifically focused on combat. When you do so, ask yourself, "why did this enemy spawned here?" or "why does this happen in this particular spot?". If you can, ask the developers and mappers behind it, they usually give very good explanations and break it down very well.
Commented 1 month ago2024-08-25 02:21:18 UTC in vault item: Literally my First map Comment #106327
On the bright side, i love how interactive the map is (on a certain lever), with things like the radio or the computer. The map looks quite nice, and there's a good level of detail. Combat was somehow fun, and you provided (little) cover.
On the other side, the enemies spawned in group, rather than being scattered around the map, wich makes it difficult to fight back. You could add a little variety on that, something like having 3 combine coming from one side and a pair coming from the other. I went right pass the citizen's sequence, since it took a while to get triggered. Also, you could signpost the HEV suit a little better.

Overall, just a decent map.

Stanley walked in and entered the infamous dentist's office. While this was a mere supersition inherited from his childhood, he still feeled a little bit nervous about going in.

(great map, it has that special 2011 TSP ambient)

Great mod, fun to mess around with. Kinda sad to see that there is no map randomization, that would be cool.

This is an actually very good mappack, it definitely has the look and feel of old school TWHL. My only complain is that the ending was a bit abrupt.
Commented 1 year ago2023-08-20 00:50:53 UTC in vault item: Teh best Half Life mod of all!!!!!!! Comment #105493
The mod did looked promising, but its actually dissapointing. First off, this is a joke mod and clearly very little effort was put into this. There are too many enemies in some parts of the map, and while the map gives you a lot of ammo and health it can be very difficult to progress without the help of cheats, even on Easy mode. Some parts were excellent, like the NFT parkour and some miserably sucked, like the maze with all of the ichthyosaurs. Some, if not all of the maps textures were just random HL textures and memes, wich made locating stuff like doors and ladders very frustating. In some other parts, it wasn´t very clear on where to go (at least for me).

But again, this is a joke mod, so its very low effort and poorly done in some parts. Id recommend you to check out Crack-Life, another joke mod that is actually very well done.

Commented 1 year ago2023-08-01 18:10:58 UTC in journal: NEED HELP!!!! I can't load my map made with hammer++ in HL2! Comment #105454
First of all, this is the journal section, and its definitely not for questions. To ask for a solution you can go to the Source Forums.
Second, are you sure that your map was compiled in the right place? Look for a "YourMapName.bsp" file in Steam/steamapps/common/Half-Life 2/hl2/maps. If its not there try to check if its anywhere else, and move it if you have to.
Also check that you have no compiling errors that prevent the map from generating.

You can try to play the maps with DM bots. Jumbot is easy to use and customize, and its probably the best option you can find.

Not a bad start, but there isnt anything else to say. Its a nice map edit, but i think you could have done something else like extening the map.
I dont play CS a lot, so im very unfamiliar with the gameplay and everything, so i might be wrong. Again, nice work. Just nice.

That is called "Burnout". It consist of you getting tired of the usual stuff or hobbies you used to do. Normally, because you tend to do the same things all the time. You can try making new stuff, or focusing on other thing and then coming back to the project. Showing off your stuff can also give some motivation.

That was... interesting.
I agree with Urba Nebula, there are a lot of HECU marines to fight, and its pretty unbalanced.
The minimalism is certainly strong, however i think its part of the artstyle?
There is almost no plot, or story or at least "Where the hell am i even going?"

This is a somehow decent quality mod. Its good, but just for one or two playtroughs.
