Incidently, am I the only one that doesn't get autosaved on load? I hate "reloading" into my current hl game, so I'll await an answer before I rate it, if thats ok (strange things have been going on in my HL1 so I need verification of anything that seems glitchy or annoying).

Beautiful. As CP said, its a bit like Escher's house of stairs, etc. (one of the first things I wanted to map, but never did.) Very pleasing on the eye!
I'm all for people releasing RMFs, and long may it continue. However, habboi, you'll notice the HL1 icon on this. Thanks for wasting 1.4mb of my dialup life. So I can't comment/rate it, only whine at you at length...
"V" brings me back... I'm sure Jahzel has more than a passing interest in the series cough space lizards enslaving mankind cough. Look neat, I'll dl when I'm next home.

"But Judging from the screenie" I had actually meant to put that in inverted commands, hence the caps, its another bad practice i know, but noone will download this in its current form.

Thanks for putting the effort into naming and describing... anyways....

Jorn, you'll get a lot of stick from other members for posting this. I KNOW there are probably(definately) crappier things in the map vaults, but I doubt anyone will actually think it worthwhile dling this even for a quick look-see. But Judging from the screenie, that's skyboxed (the sky tutorial really needs to be clearer on NOT doing that). Putting your map into a large skybox causes trouble. I cant really see but is that water leading up to those steps?! What the hell, who has that? Textures are just thrown up, and (though it may be unfair to say this since I havent played it, but I'll go on a hunch) the layout is just a random clutter of boxes etc.
While everybody has made a map like this before, noone ever wants to download this kind of stuff; the only entertainment people can get from it is by mocking it and flaming you.
Read the tutorials, look at other peoples work, and try out ideas.
THEN, when you make a map you really think that people would enjoy or find interesting post it up here.
You should probably go back to the drawing board with this one and take it down, you're in no hurry to put a map up in the vaults, plenty of people have none up (myself included).

Habboi, you have at least four maps with piss simple problems in the vault, so STFU unless you're going to fix it. I'm still seeing BSP as opposed to RMF btw!

You have this map up twice in the vaults. Delete one. Also, there is absolutely NO POINT uploading a .BSP file in the problem vaults. How are ppl supposed to fix it!?

The problem vault isnt a subsiduary of 'Quik Fit' habboi. You dont just get a problem and throw it in here to be instantly fixed. If you showed that you have tried everything else, and it genuinly baffles you, then someone will help...as long as you dont call ppl assholes for not jumping when you click you fingers. Have some respect for the ppl taking time out of their OWN lives and mapping to even bother suggesting to you to read the tutorials. Ignoring you would be easier for them, you are one of many many lazy ppl, so at least listen, or failing that, dont mouth off.

Judging by the screenie, im not dling this. And floater, giving ppl good ratings just out of niceness is counter productive. If he thinks this is 3 star quality, then hell hardly make the effort to improve.
Far, far, far too many things wrong with this map for me to be bothered even compiling!
Its an over large, white texured skyboxed heap of steaming shat. The whole map is an error.
Its too big, i dont even know what the heck those spliced things are in the corners. Seriously that map isnt worth proceeding with at all.
I'm not being hard on you since im a beginner too, but NEVER make a skybox, let alone one encompassing a map that size (most of which has nothing in it) it might make the leaks errors go away but it cripples the map in so many ways.
*makes you write out the in the ENTIRE tutorials section 100 times on the blackboard.
Start from the complete beginning again, sorry man, but EVERYTHING is wrong.
Like Jahzel said... So far the main problem that I can see is that you zipped a .bsp file. Noone can help you with an already compiled map. You must upload it as a .RMF . And whats actually wrong with it would be helpful too.

If you're going to work at it some more, move the map into the Unfinished section. Doesnt having an overhead view of the maze as a screenie kinda give the solution away?

Looks lovely...pity I'm one of the unfortunate few for which this map isn't gonna work. It looks bloody brilliant too! sigh Any chance of a "Carbaseus lite"?

The grunts were already dead when i hit the glass defence button, except for that guy doing something while you grab the gun. No fair! Yes....rollerskates. And Leaks in my maps are actually an artistic expression of my fractured consciousness. Bit messy lookin so far, could you maybe space everything out a bit? Camera made me a bit dizzy too! Still better than mine.

"Looking for suggestions on lighting (creating some dark areas), spawn placement and hostage placement."
If its not finished, it should be in the Unfinished vault.
I'm a fan of Weebl & Bob, but my archnemesis Steam wasnt a fan of me (my Wee Bull)

I cant SEE whats wrong if the map is COMPILED as a .bsp file.
You must submit a .RMF (hammer) file so that it can be looked at and fixed.
