oh i get it, its one of those things where you start off with a little bit and add on so in this case your making a map together and the result could end up being weird lol like having a high detail office and then a corridor to a cartoon block man well i would like to see this result sometime maybe you could do with more help?
just turn your firewalls off and copy your online mod to dedicated server (the whole mod folder) and then you can choose to make a server on it so do that and then choose to play the game while running the server then wait till others join and play its what i do on rlm!

oops my bad well its an online half life mod similar to death match but its in 3rd person and it has new models and small deathmatch maps and yes you may think it is crap but i think its fun and funny when theres loads of people playing by the way theres only one server at the moment and its on if you ask

Another question that really pissed me off was how do you make breakable glass, i mean COME ON bloody read the tuts like all these guys have done!
I used to be like you asking some! dumb questions but i realised that it doesnt get you anywhere because they cant help you as much as YOU can help yourself by reading all the tutorials, messing around with all the entities inside a square box, and then keep practicing, look at other maps that are good, get ideas, apply these ideas to your map, if you get errors, remember what tutorials said and also change things on properties untill it fliiping works!!!

I was wondering if you can use ambient_genric in Counter Strike because i tested it with a song thats .wav already and used in another map. I used it in my map made a trigger on a bridge and had the ambient play everywhere! but notihng happens when i trigger it in gameplay mode! Any ideas?

ok well i think i understand your problem
1. Get Steam
2. Install Half-Life, CS etc if you have them
3.Go on steam and get a account by clicking new member
4.Follow the steps and type in pin code at the back of computer
5. It should then look for your games and install them all onto your steam account!
That should do it but if you already did this and your saying that it used to work but it stopped working so you reformatted the comp etc then well thats a problem that Steam can solve!

^^^^^^ as slayer said his right as that has only happened to me when im using textures that are not in the folder for the game to look for!
i had that error once on another game and to fix it i reinstalled it and i guess it must have been a missing file that caused it to bring that message up!
use creepy music i dll silent hill 4 music and its made my life happy especially with suicidal clock very tense music

usually a mod consists of a lot of maps and well 3 maps is nothing (no offence) i had an idea where 1 map was a alift, 2nd bottom of lift that leads to a load of people, 3rd map a glass tunnel looking at huge view, 4th in a lab entrance area with scientists and stuff, 5th inside the lab (huge map), 6th shooting place, 7th underground labs, 8th is a tunnel that has a window with scientists doing experiment that fails and turns everything cartoon, 9th is where the story starts in cartoon mode and from there i am making puzzles etc
ok this is for my mod toon crazy which was going to be my last work before hl2 cause i thought why not use all my thought and energy into a whole new mod with new skins and guns etc
now thats my mod so what im saying is that use imaginative ideas for your mod blackviper and get creative, have fun and dont worry about what these guys say!

sven co-op has monsters that are you friends e.g. theres the alien slave monster that tries to killl you (eye is green)
and then theres the friendly one that has a blue eye
theres different kinds of allied monsters like the helicopter

i put every weapon on floor and have loads of sounds etc play make loads of sharp stuff to pick up and throw and zombies to kill them and have fans that chop them up!!!

Yes i thought it was slightly scary at the bit where a headcrab jumps out but thats all that scared me
