If the button is hurt by the explostion or the grenade it self then yes, just remember to set the health value to more then 0. :glad:

What version of Hl1 do you have? :quizzical: You should have version 1.1.1.0! Also if it's a mod remove the config.cfg file from the mod's directory. ;)

You can always play maps made for steam in won, just update to Hl 1.1.1.0, download it from somewhere. ;)

Now, now don't be so mean. Read the tutorial and if you still don't understand I'll show you my configurations:

Options->Game configurations:

All the values I wrote '...half-life/valve' or something like that it should be '...steam/steamapps/.../valve' if you have steam, I don't have steam so I can't tell you for sure. Also ignore that mod directory value if you don't map for a peticular mod thats not Hl1. Headcrab is my mod's name. The RMF directory is the place you put all your RMF files so the compiling tools will find them.

Options->Build program:

The first value is the location of the game's exeutable program. In case of Hl1 it's Hl.exe. The CSG excutable program value ect are the compililing tools that would be used to compile the map. And the last value is where the game will place the BSP file after compiling. If you map for Hl1 then it should be '...valve/maps'. I wanted it to place the BSPs in my mod's map directory hance the diffrent directory. :glad:

P.S: I tried placing them higher and puting a clip brush on the chair.

I was also wondering how to sound the 'Access Granted' sound when you open a door...it can't be an ambient generic for the words apear seperetly and they are only listed togther in the sentence.txt! :zonked:

Maybe the monster_greanade is like the monster_grunt_repel, it doesn't exist untill it's targeted. :

I highly advice you to go to the compotitions before starting mods. They build motivation to finish stuff and you'll need it to finish a whole mod. ;)

My first finished map is my compo entery. :glad:

better make your own mod. ;) Hl1 remake!! :glad:

If you make a mod then you can play your levels anytime you want and also you wont delete the old ones.

Just an example...it's from my compo entery's second level, I had an allocblock:full error but my brother helped be by that he said the doors in the scanner room doesn't have to have windows! :cyclops: And cause of that I don't have to include the corridor that leads to that room in the first level. This is the storeage room for the biolabs.

Get wally(slackiller's site in the links page) and open the pak file(in the valve folder called pak0.pak) in it enter the map folder and extract all the maps! ;) They are called C0A0,C0A1,C1A2...ect

Lightning is great but it's still very very boxy! Try adding better artitecture. ;)

That texture you used for the light beams that come out of the cracks is awsome! I should try and make one like that...

Alex, striplights looks like solid metirial that glows a bit but the light saber doesn't look solid at all. ;) So what they do is add blur colorfull sticks and add a glow around them.

The only good and expensive movie editing program I know is adobe primire but I don't think you do it with that program. Anyway what does this program do? :confused:

P.S: Alex, I know you where joking but it's still puzzling how they made it...

Thats really low! :o They look like a strategy game's models. And they really good for that perpose. ;) As for 3D shooters...I prefer models with more polies! :tired:

If you have compiling tools that are older then ZHLT 2.5.1(This includes hammer's original compiling tools) your sky brushes need to have a sky texture aglined to all they're sides if not they wont emmit light. :glad:

Are you sure it will still be flickering? : I sometimes am too lazy to do it so I place the light entity infront of an emmiting texture thats not in the lights.rad file. It works nicly! ;)
