really? you think so?

setting the -maxnodesize in hlbsp.exe decreases compile times ALOT - but at a cost : higher r_speeds just to name one

add "-game spirit" in the 'paraeters' sec. in the advanced compile - to the last entry.. it should have something like

+map $file -dev -console

just add -game spirit to the end of that

ha, funny..

for a real reduction, use -incremental
and then use -only ents and tweak the lighting

gets rid of everything after buildfacelights

exept the bounces etc... those can be tweaked too btw

Uuh.....

You're all wierd...

From the top:

1) You need the new Spirit FGD, it can be found at the site

2) Hammer 3.5 is only the exe... naturally, it does NOT have PREFABS

3) JOBABOB: it DOES SHOW THE PLAYER MODEL - get the updates man

4) Once again esmajor, GET THE NEW SPIRIT FGD!

5) Pepper, that's because you overwrote the exe - leaving all the other files...

6) AGAIN, GET THE NEW FGD!

7) FOR F* GET THE NEW SPIRIT FGD!!!

btw, the sound does not lag.. (it does when there's lots of different ones etc)

but a background tune won't
the only proble is that the people will have to wait for a long time to conect to the server, because they have to download the .wav...

It works with almost every entity - that doesen't show up errors in hammer " entity x has unused keyvalues "

If you're talking about rotating doors, then you need to change the flags.. and the origin brush

the angle or PYR property affects nearly all of the point entities as well...

in fact, its a very usefull property for making doors, rotating the axis of rotating objects etc...

well if you click on the little black compass, and move the little white arrow arround...

then you can change the direction...

btw,
it goes from the middle out, so if its pointing -> then its 0 deg, so it wil blow you that way ->>

most maps have textures streched without problems, sometimes this decreases r_speeds,
and usually, if you just scale to 1 they come out misaligned all over
