The 'Brush outside world' error means that the brush is near the edge of the grid or it's messed up due to vertex manipulation. If it's the first case, just move it away from the edge, and if it's the second, it will need to be replaced. From the looks of it, you're experiencing the latter. For the 'coplanar plane' error, this is caused by having a brush with two faces on the same plane. This is caused by a face being split in VM and the resulting faces being left at the same angle.
User posted image
The red dots are vertices
1: A normal Brush
2: What is happening
3: What a VM'd brush should be like

For the 'plane with no normal' error, this means that three vertices have been dragged to a point, and the plane between them has messed up. You should just fing and replace these brushes, making sure not to repeat the mistake.

In future, try checking Tommy's site

I don't think I'll be able to edit my map anymore. For some reason I can't compile maps or get Half-Life to run. The only solution I can think of is to send the rmf to someone who can compile it, but the likelihood of multiple compiles to work out any kinks makes this seem a bit uneconomical.

At one point in the history of the world, there was no life life. Then there was life. Presumably all life is descended from the first life forms. I was wondering; what evidence is there to suggest that life hasn't been formed more than once? Animals are traced back through an evolutionary tree, but would it be possible that there is more than one 'tree'?
Or was the ability for life to occur spontaneously limited to the world of a few billion years ago, when the Earth may have still been developing?

Do you mean have a natural coastline, but have the general shape of four squares?

I don't get why university fees are being brought back in Ireland. It sucks for intelligent people who can't afford to go to university. Scholarships aren't always given based on academic achievement. For example, women who enter an engineering course in Ireland automatically receive a sum of money. The reason for this is that most engineering students are male, but it's still undeniably sexist.

The Empire of Thoma needs to actually be an empire, so it has taken control of the northern wastes. This new colony is known as Reference Land, due to the fact that it contains landmarks similar to the two things I have time to reference now.
A great wall has been built, and the area around it declared no-man's land, for we do not want anything to do with the clowns across the border.

Behold!

World 2:
User posted image
We have decided to use the area reserved for us as the site for this world's space elevator. The surrounding area has been made into a nature reserve, to preserve the natural life of this planet.
Funds from the original space elevator were used in geological surveys to find out the exact cause of Mount-Melikeacowboi's continued smoking and eruptions, and to put a stop to it. Now sunlight has returned to the world. Walls were also constructed, so that in the unlikely event of another eruption, the lava will be redirected towards the sea, rather than destroying the space elevator.

We have decided to otherwise leave the area in peace, so we have occupied an island north of Colony 42 for our population of immigrants from the first world to live in. It is called The Land of a Million Happinesses, and it's capital is Decay.

World 3:

We have set up an empire on a previously unoccupied continent, which is now known as the Empire of Thoma. It's capital is the Soleri Megacity, and it's second most major population centre is Proserpine, an archology constructed in the north. This nation is the proud owner of our largest space elevator yet, which appears on our flag.

The Arena of Chaos and Death unveils it's reason for taking an equatorial patch of land - a space elevator. Much safer and efficient than the space shuttles used by other nations, TAoCaD had hoped the other nations would flock to have a chance to use it, generating much money for us. The mighty Emperor TJB weeps when he disovers that you have already moved to the other planet when he was sleeping. You bastards.

Thats a whole world we found while surfing the rifts of space
If we found this world, and then moved to it, I think that our space faring technology would be pretty advanced.

Edit: I'm surprised that anyone hasn't mentioned the unfairness of Luke country being split, and Snarkistan covering half a continent.

Stupid slow internet letting my post through seven posts too late.

Anyway, The Arena of Chaos and Death is a prosperous nation, with lots of space program based resources. It's also situated between the two countries with space programs, who may want to compete for these resources. This could work out quite well for me.

(unless of course one of you decides to just bomb the shit out of TAoCaD and take it by force)

The error I get when I try to run the first map is "Host_Error: PF_setview_I: not a client"

According to Tommy's page, it's caused by a camera that's triggered by a trigger_auto, rather than by the player triggering it.
do you mean like adding a holo-emmiter device at the front of the console, and use some volumetric light and fade textures?
Yes, something like that. However, because of the surreal nature of the map, with the floating arrows and ghostly furniture, the lack of some kind of source for the floating menu doesn't look too odd.

I couldn't get intromap00 to load either. I'll post the error that I receive when I get home. And why not try making the menu itself look connected to the computer, like making a holographic projector or something, unless it's there to add to the surreal feel of the map.
