AHHH! WHERE DID I GO? :D anyway i figured it out: in my wad was a texture that was WAY too big and in the compile all it said was "warning texture too large and it gave the name" so i didnt even realize this problem since the compile went too fast... any way if you get an error that says

"Server is enforcing file consistency for models/p_famas.mdl
Bad file Server is enforcing file consistency for models/p_famas.mdl"

it means u have a texture in one of the wads u used that is too big
*and i guess it also could be self-explanatory if u use corrupt models ;) *

ive never even touched a custom model b4 this error... i play leagues and stuff so theres no point in having them... everything is pretty much default except my own binds which definently dont have a thing to do with the problem

its only happening on my one map (the map has no buying and u spawn with a knife and a scout meaning there are no famass anyway)

i deleted all the new stuff in my models folder since last time i compiled the map and played but it wont work now

i did add a lot more teleporters and a few more destinations but i dont see why that should affect it.... any ideas?

i made surf_egypt... u wouldnt believe how many people decompile and rename it... so i no wat ur feeling... is it true that a 14 meg map cant be decompiled or something?

i found some pics to help me and i guess im just gonna have to sit down for a couple hours messing with furniture... thanks for ur help and this is gonna be my first more realistic map (scaling and stuff) but its still based on fun... well im gonna submit it when im complete so wish me luck

im talking about hl1, yea u could slap a bunch of furniture in a room but when i do it... it just doesnt feel right... maybe even an example map would help... just a suggestion

let me start off by saying your dead hostage tutorial helped me so much.. i wasnt looking to make a dead hostage but i am making a map and im putting my friends face on a ct model... at first i figured out how to add my friends face to the ct model (thanks to vassys great tutorial) but all i had was a floating model kicking his legs rapidly... i read andys tutorial 100 times and i finally understood how to edit that qc file or watever (actually had to think too cause i got an error that i was missing a defuse.smd but i actually had it but the file path was wrong so i had to adjust it a bit) im just trying to say both of ur tutorials taught me so much about models even though its my first day trying... so thanks and keep up the great tutorials... (im not in school so live without my punctuation) ;)

ok i set up a passworded door and it has a total of 6 numbers... every time i die in the map and the one time i typed the correct password it totally shut off my cs.... im guessing the multisources are the problem cause there are 8 in the map all connected to one door... so can someone tell me the maximum amounts i can have plz?

Mod_NumForName: suicideexplode.spr not found

i made it an env_sprite and its triggered by a trigger_multiple and the env_sprite is the suicideexplode.spr and its in my cstrike - sprites folder so i don't get wat the problem is.... any tips?

ok i have a func_button that targets a trigger_camera that targets an info_target all the names and targets are correct but the buttons dont go to the cameras and when i go into the map b4 i pick a team i see the views of the cameras... someone help ?

ok i got the animate to work +0 +1 +2 +3 etc. only problem is you can only have 10 frames and they rotate too fast... is there any way i can delay the frame change?

can anyone explain how to make a door be locked and can only be opened through a password.... like:

make the car frame and put an origin textured block in the car and group/tie to entity of func_vehicle... put vehicle_controls wherever u want to drive it and put 2 path tracks in front the first named "1 then path is 2" the second is "2 then path is 1" if this doesnt help or if i made a mistake i will make an example map for u to see

ok i'm working on this map and i want to make this one room have a ceiling that crushes u when u go into it.... have the door lock when u enter so you cant escape and when the ceiling hits you... you die.... i can prolly figure it out but it would be faster if one of u can explain.. so thanks

my friend recorded his voice... i converted it the same setup as another

sound that works in my map... i placed my friends voice in sound then

misc and used it as an ambient_generic in my map.... when i go to play

the map it freezes at verifying resources i click cancel and open console

.... it says something about not being able to transmit sound.... someone

help !!!
