no what show, song etc. the line is from. As each person says a line he must also write the theme it is categorized under (eg. TV/Film, Music etc.)

Ill start as its my thread - duh!

Old game yes but not so easy to screw up.
I say a line from a movie or a song (we vote on a theme), whover guesses it correct does the next round, choosing a new line.
Is this worth playing or not...? If so we need a theme.

Judging from the outdoor pics alot of work is needed, dont take this wrongly - i know your working on the shape and all so far and you seem to have hit it quite well. It will be a while in the making so good luck with it!

i took almost a year of mapping (no one noticed the absence of my fine maps for a year :lol: ) because i ran out of ideas, but now im back - they just come to you when your doing whatever your doing. Draw pictures but, that helps!

nothing particularly spooky about this > what about that boat that entered the bermuda triangle??? it came out in tact, everyone was missing, but the plates and cutlery were all set out on the tables neatly and the beds were made etc. etc. everyone just up and vanished :aghast: .

A number of things could of happened to that boat, piracy is my theory, a non-violent takeover or something, they boarded and killed the crew, dumped them somewhere out sea, took the goods and left.

Youve got a good idea going on with the poison and the heal pole thingies, it's looks as though it will add a good layer onto the combat aswell as looking purdy. Have you ever considered making this into a sp map or mod?

the superdef models take all the fun out of half-life and totally remove the half-life feeling - they suck. I mean seriously! You want good hl models? Play HL2! they dont look anything like the originals.

well then i look forward to the next, i like the way hlcomic occasionly has an extra frame in the notes, so the idea of having short intro-comics could work, it would obviously look better layed-out on your site though.

did you compile HDR? Coz i did that last night and all the props in my map looked like that! HDR is not supported for HL2 mapping yet apparently, just CS:S, DOD:S and LOST COAST.

People like Jack Thompson do exactly the opposite of they beleive they are doing, his pathetic arguments do nothing to prevent suicide and seem more suicide-provoking to me "get a life" "sad for all of you"? this man is the one of the saddest alive, what a dick.

I would laugh to see the word's "Fuck Jack Thompson!" appear at the end of a HL map.

yeah i got a friend who wanted to be a pilot but he confuses red and green colours which incidently are the colours of nearly every dial and switch on a plane computer! So he had to give up that dream sadly.

Not to shit on anyones parade but uni is not the big, future-employment opportunity it's made out to be, look and try hard enough and you can get into the big jobs without uni-experience. Iv'e just being accepted into a bachelor of science in a uni in Perth but im seriously considering not going - it just doesnt interest me! But by all means if sitting a game designers course at uni is your thang than good luck with it. ;)

What's the latest on HL:HS's release date anyone?

right ive got the slomo part sorted, the console command is host_timescale and you can trigger it in-game through a point_clientcommand and YAY! Slomo! But im still trying to work on the colour thingy, does anyone know how valve triggered it for the start sequence, that could help me understand it a bit more.

EDIT: i know now you can do black and white with mat_yuv i think it is, but writing my own colour thingy like valve did fir the intro is my main concern now so if anyone knows - please help
