"I'm sure alcohol has, in one way or another, killed a lot more people than marijuana ever has."
Correct. Alcohol has done far more damage to society than Marijuana ever will.
Drugs are everywhere in culture, there's no reason to skirt around that fact, it isn't going away. People everywhere are going to experiment with them, and the only time I think you should judge someone for doing so is when it's clear they can't control their habits. It's the same for alcohol, cigarettes, junk food... you need self-control.
I've been pretty much surrounded by these choices growing up, none of it surprises me anymore. If people want to try it, it's their choice, if they don't, it's their choice. They just need to be aware of their habits, going into it.

"And then that bit about "Assassinate anyone who dislikes America!"....definitely did not come from me like that!. If you are referring to that one other journal post a while back where I threatened this other TWHL member (which I forget his name), I need to point out that I did take back what I said by posting a subsequent apology to the TWHL member that I offended. As far as I am concerned, that been buried, it's in the past."
"Well, well.....it seems that Huntey (and potatis_invalid for backing him up) took it a big notch further than I did by bringing up God in this! To really be honest here, I did not think anybody here in TWHL would have had the balls to lay it out like Hunty did, but I guess I was wrong. It is the right course anyway, after all, the Bible does say that gays have it coming, it's not going to be pretty for them."
I'll let you figure this out on your own. But the bit about Homosexuals having it coming, and it being the "right course"... wow.
"Now, can we get back to bashing the Playstation Network?......"
They've given me no reason to bash it. I've had nothing but fun with my PS3 and I'll continue to.

"The subscription offering would provide new premium features you could choose to pay for and are in addition to the features currently available for free such as access to online multiplayer gaming (current features would remain free)."

Well the warranty of the TV manufacturer doesn't cover "accidental power surges", so that's ruled out. I'll be looking into the surge board warranty, like Luke suggested, even though the circumstances are a little iffy.
I might take it to a local TV repair shop first, just to find out exactly what the problem is and how much it'll cost me. Googling my TV's symptoms tells me it's a faulty mainboard, which is around $400 for a new one and installation. I can live with that. If it turns out to be the screen itself it could go up to around a grand for repairs, which makes me a sad little Strider.

Perhaps. At any rate the surge board would have/should have tripped. Nothing else went down, and the fact that it happened after the storm had passed is aggrivating.

I'm only pointing out that you managed to backflip on your own argument in one post.
If you're going to make a claim as bold as "we should assassinate the president of another country", you might want to prepare an argument that actually makes sense.
Because killing him (fighting fire with fire, as you put it) before he disrespects your country through lousy press again doesn't make a whole lot of it, to me.

Yep, that's the attitude to take Tito, the USA should just assassinate them! Who cares if they're in such a position that their death would create monumental controversy and further destabilize the situation.

Blegh, nothing worse than money trouble.
My brother (we're co-owners of a house) lost his job and was unemployed for over half a year leaving me to pay the mortgage, bills and everything else. I almost went completely broke in the last month when a massive rates fee hit at the same time as the weekly mortgage payment.
Now he's working on a mine site pulling in several grand a fortnight, and paying me back in bulk. So it sucks when things go completely ass-up, but they usually work out. ;/
I'm getting out of here before Trapt makes a joke about me living in the desert.

Eh, the Spiderman films are pretty junky. Entertaining enough I guess, but junky, and don't even mention the third film. Raimi isn't a very original director.
I'd like to see a better adaption, but it won't happen. Not under Sony's control.

One of the best 'first maps' I've seen, very nice start. You've already skipped the biggest mistakes most Source newbies make - ugly white lights and ultra-thick brushwork.
The next thing I'd focus on is more advanced geometry. Trims around doors, windows and ledges. And angled and curved buildings.
Is it just me or do the birds outside act totally spastic? Flying up a bit then giving up and falling back to the ground in their standing pose, then starting over? It's hilarious. Like Hitchcock's "The Birds" or something.

Ravenholm was horror done "the Valve way". It's not a closet monster area, it just paints a pretty grim scenario and throws you in the middle of it. Too much horror would have been against Valve's style, I think.

It's just how TWHL works.
Of course it helps to have a homophobic, overly-patriotic zealot in here to speed things up, my job included.

Jesus, Tito. Words fail me.
I think just being with the family is what you need when you lose someone.

Boobeth does not maketh a good gameth.
Any reason it couldn't be their follow up to Borderlands? They did patent the name "Borderworlds" recently.
Heck if we ever did it again I'd make a new room anyway. >_>
