What? That looks like HL1. There aren't any Gauss weapons in HL2. Those were replaced by that pulse gun.

I tried level changes, didn't work very well for this, bad timing mostly.

What do you mean, "what do u do with it"? Here's what you do with it, put it in your half Life directory, then right click your c: drive and select "format"

alright sorry Iam late, I moved in real life and DSL was a P(#@#$! to get back up and running, Iam re compiling now, and going to re submit it with the few changes I have made (note some things are being remodled and arent done yet, I had to leave abruptly to move on Thur, just got everything back up today, a week later) AND ill include biglotsF.wad (wich you all will need for the new version.)

Beautiful map, though lots of little things you could add, such as:

-sprites below streetlights
-props at the bar like drinks, trays, ashtray, etc
-chess set at the park
-and other props imo

Really though, nice map! Beautiful layout and nicely textured.

Looks cool. Don't give up on the VM...you'll get it! I mapped for the longest time using just primitives...But trust me, VM will make your life easier!

Nice an original as usual. Some textures looked good but you shouldnt use the fit texture too much. It was designed to "reduce" rather than to "stretch" :)
Layout is nice although I'm not really fond of symetrical maps (I understand this is a deathmatch arena so it's not a problem in this case)

While noclipping around the map, I saw some brush faces that the players will never see in-game. Maybe you should apply the null texture to them. R_speeds are good, but using the null (or nodraw in hl2) textures in non visible faces is a good habit everyone should have

I detect a spammer anywho this map can be improved greatly like my first map could have heh heh.

Lights need a source e.g. a lamp.
Textures are a bit bland so use a variety and try to blend so they don't look odd e.g. red room to a blue room.

Use the clip tool to make arches, detailed walls, and floors with holes and stuff for extra detail.

I mean have you ever seen a place so bland, clean, and has smooth floors.

There's already someone else making a de_bridge and has been releasing betas for quite some time now, just thought you might want to know.
-The maker isnt a member of TWHL, unless you are him, which I doubt considering the betas are a winter theme and look nothing like this.

Have you tried compiling this? If so how long? I gave up after 10 minutes. my sys 2.66 ghz 512 DDR, I don't know what my fsb speed is...

Anyway here's what I think:
You need to have the lights coming from somewhere.
You need more detail
It's kinda terrorist sided
Textures are bland, get some contrast and don't just use the concrete textures.
I like the small map area though, good for fast fun team deathmatch, I don't think the hostages fit in with this map.

Now for the map, the arches look odd but the rest is quite good :D
