Looks alot like my unfinished supermaxprison map in the unfinished stuff section. That map never was going to work due to the scale and mass amounts of 1way glass and water.

those are 2 different issues
1. the compiling error: goto the grid coordinates 356, 180, 56 then delete and carefully remake the brush thats there. do the same thing for the other set of coordinates unless its the same brush.
2. Solid Entity (func wall) is empty: check map for problems, goto error, close map problems window, rt click grid, delete.

i think that it is no map to be happy about, although what you have done is quite good. I think that you should go for a more artistic style of a map, this one is a bit boring..

Oh man, I have to resture some stuff for this map. I was playing tfc and relaized how much texturing was off (other from the winter theme, I did that on purpose) So now I get to retexture the cielings and basement and all that good stuff. What fun!

Heres some improvement ideas then. (calling acer X stupid was a feeble attempt of making a bad comeback) At the end have something scary looking jump at you really fast when the thing explodes. Theres something that will make you jump. ould try it with a sprite perhaps?

Why do all people upload their compo entries? They are available when the results are out. Anyway the screenshot looks auspicious, I'm downloading it right now.

But I didn't focus much on those rock walls. It was hard to recreate 2fort and by the time I had gotten really into the bases I had forgotten about the walls outside.

Its pretty good. really dark in places and its really easy to get lost in. the machine itself looks good but really doen't seem to have a purpose. and the R_speeds are high. other then that it was good. probably will get better then mine.

I'd hate to sound ignorant, but from the screenshot I'd say it looks a lil too blocky. More detail is needed - especially the rockface, it looks too un-natural - like those cardboard rock faces you get as scenary in cheap films
why? it's easy. I thought that i need to make it harder lol but if you say so it'll stay as it is Hey, anyone already know how to fix that boxes problem? I just want the hole to be not visible when water is iside the room. You destroy the wooden box, water can escape than and you see beggining part of next outdoor section. PLZ i've posted a problem map (i belive i know how to fix teleport problem, still boxes and scripted sentence remains. I wan scientist to say: "Freeman you fool!" :D)

ladders are made of two parts, a normal world brush (or func_wall, depending on the required render settings) and a func_ladder. The func_ladder is always invisible.

Please come back when you have something worthy of us downloading . Next time, only include the BSP, and RMF or MAP if you wish. No need for all the other files.
My recomendation is to read the in the beginning tutorials, and search for some tutorials.
did you look under the water? i've never tried to make a boat on water, because i've been told it's impossible as the moving entity cannot rest on top of the water entity, it's simply not possible. what i would advise you to try, is to use an animated texture for the water (www.google.com)and simply clip the sides of the boat so the player can't leave until he get's to the "shore"

hahahah, this looks promising, i like this map already =) try using a clip brush to stop the player walking onto the lane. and strip the player of his guns, so he can't shoot the pins.

you want the door to go up? then down, tied to a button? have you thought of using a func_door? tick the reletive flags and create a button that targets the door. this really isn't that hard.

Why is teh screen of an error message? It helps to post an in-game shot so I know it actually works and I dont waste 5 minutes of my life on a non-working map.

+Nice architecture.
+Cool broken glass.
+-Good machine, but as gargantua said, it has no purpose.
-Too dark.
I give it a 4/5.
