Holy toledo, what a nice thread! In the year 3000 we'll all be dead ='(
Wait this is a journal not a thread, but "journal" doesn't rhyme, skynet is coming to tear the human race a new one, so get ready to go back in time!
John connor will lead the resistance, against the rise of the machines, With the help of his sister Cameron, they will tear skynet a new one... Merry Christmas!

Really cool map!
First Impressions(after a really quick playthrough) +varied, interesting layout! +Nice use of fresh textures +sexy lighting +good fps performance(i'm guessing) +/- architecture is good, but a little thick in places like the light posts and some of the roof and door trims are too fat +/- didn't really notice ambience

god that sounds insidious and frankly horrifying, that some guy is suffering in his death throes and it being interpreted in a very differnet way, the result of which he is totally not going to receive lifesaving aid =)

The more i play this the more i like it. Immersion is never broken and it always feels like a real place, except for a few small things:
-ladders you can't climb? -doors that are locked you should make them actual doors with a locked sound, -or- block them with someting -The one stairway is just blocks with no structure underneath to hold it; take it all the way to the floor, -or- make the bottom edge a nice diagonal shape with perhaps a few support beams
Other than that i love the map. again, great work! =)

Wow!
First impressions +impressive amount of detail +very cleanly mapped +nice small size(you don't see this too often) +beautiful/varied design
I'll try to give you some more comments after i have had a chance to play it more. Great work sir!
Notes overview is not hard, it's just a little bit of work preparing your map for the overview picture, and entering the coordinates correctly(css tutorials should apply for csgo though i have never made one for csgo yet!)
include the .nav file, or everybody that plays it will have to wait as it builds. All your content can be included in the map using pakrat too i think, though i've never used it yet with csgo.

OH NO YOU DIDN'T!
Nice work mate! =P Also btw, do you have a list of all the destructable doors from csgo? (i think 2 different doors from nuke do it too)
also a random csgo question: are there more models/materials/etc salted away that you have to unpack somehow to use in the sdk, or is everything there? it seems like there is not enough materials and junk...

ya tetsu0 idk, you found any good deals yet? i'm not really finding crap for laptop deals...
my 4-year old laptop(core 2 duo 2.26 ghz, geforce 9800 gts) is also a champ, that still plays the latest games fine, just not on the highest settings. i'm guessing a modern gaming laptop would play anything on high settings no problem.
tjb: i've always wanted to do that too, use one of those cool stainless steel survivor briefcases =)

how old is your rig? with all the deals you might just be better off buying a whole new system, and then you can be super cool running to computers at once =)
OR buy a diesel gaming laptop instead like i'm also planning to do today, because you deserve it =)

kk finally played this!
Excellent work pulling off the dojo theme! a couple ideas for improvement:
-reduce the scale of the main fountain, and give the bottom of it a more cylindrical shape, or add some more trims to it to make it a little fancier, considering it's the centerpiece of the map.
-fix the wood textures grain, so it faces the right direction on your planks(simply click on the edge of the board and then alt+apply the texture and it should line up perfectly every time)
-lighting is fine, but it would be nice to see more contrast in the map by having some of the darker areas a bit darker, and maybe add some variation in the color on the interiors or something(i know it's a small map)
alright, this is pretty damn raw/unfinished, but you have a nice start there!
Likes -behaviour/sound of the front doors -some nice brushwork props inside -working security pad and security system!(what is the dam code btw?!)
dislikes -very unfinshed, especially the outside facade and lower level -lighting is very sparse and dark
Also btw, i'm not quite clear on your theme, because the outside looks like a city building/business, and the inside is a normal residence, and the downstairs are a giant wharehouse! (none of these things are bad things, it just needs a little more development/refinement imo!)
pm me if you interested in ideas to finish it up, or i can fill in the gaps if necessary when it's combined with the other houses =)
this is about being merry,
jo' mamma-jo' mamma-jo' mamma,
dimbark's skills are scary.
madcow comes on strong,
but it's just a disguise;
he'll put the smack down,
if the needs arise!
wait no one's using commas,
at the end of their lines,
i guess i fucked up,
SHOCKAZULU mothertrucker!

Height scale is still i little big in places(curbs, stairs, top-stairs railing, but other than that i love it.
A note on the sound as well, it drops off very sharply from one place to another.. but i don't know how to fix that in gs.
anyhoo i really, really love this theme, well done!

And you are welcome, it's my pleasure to do little maps like this
edit
cool stuff! i totally feel a batcave type vibe with displacement caves down below, but the coffee table is my favourite
And yeah no, cyber monday is pretty shitty i couldn't find dick for deals on gaming laptops.
