The 4 is a nod to the *4* survivors.

Left 4 Dead > Left for Dead

It's $50, I think, but hell if I know.

I'd only get it if a few of my friends got it. Even then, I'm not much of a PS3 player, let alone playing on the internet with it.

Well how much is it over there? I suppose if you're into creating then yes but as a hardcore gamer I'd say no! It's a good ol' laugh but I can't say I'm running for it.
Commented 15 years ago2008-11-16 15:21:35 UTC in journal: #5464 Comment #44319
Is it really worth the price, though? I just can't see getting it.

It's really just gmod except you can test it as you play which is why I was able to finish a level for once :D

I mean I had an idea to create a sort of tower with platforms coming out and stuff so I quickly boxed it out and added the contraptions and it played pretty well but by testing it I found it needed more so I added swinging marshmallows.

It HIGHLY requires online as that's the main aim, share, play and create etc.
If you have a PS3 I'd get it for sure cause even friends near you can join in and play online with you.

I think of it as Facebook + Gmod.

Yah, cats are great.
I do find the 4 in "Left 4 Dead" stupid. "Left for Dead" would be better.

you call the guy a troll, then proceed to counter his points as if they were real? Look up the definition of internet trolling.

Also, cats are far, far more awesome than dogs. I would never take one off the street, though. You know nothing about it.

I think it's a stray but my neighbor say it's one of our neighbor's cat. He told me the cat refuse to go back because of their dog. I wasn't able to confirm it.
Commented 15 years ago2008-11-16 07:21:35 UTC in journal: #5462 Comment #59888
Sounds like you just got a bad apple as far as the cat goes. Bad idea to pick up a stray one anyway.
It probably hasn't been spayed, and that's probably why it makes all the noise (no, seriously, find out). You can declaw the cat if its that much of a hazard, its not uncommon to do it.

Also, work on knowing sarcasm when you read it. The Steam forum post was a joke, and the people who take it seriously are the ones everyone else is laughing at-- not the OP.

Oh ... anyway, I start my computer and I let it in the "PC Health" Bios screen and go drink a glass of juice. When I'm back, it's +30 degrees Celsius.

I think it was something stupidly simple. I think it was just running through some kind of scan disk 3 or 4 times. Just enough to warm up the computer.

As to the particulars of making it, I don't remember, it was years ago.
Commented 15 years ago2008-11-16 05:58:49 UTC in journal: #5460 Comment #56254
hmmm...How did you do the warm-up program ?

You should change the screenie now, most people will just disregard the map and not even open it, with a screenie like this.

"I would call it Non_Texture_Towers"

you have absolutely no idea what "texture_" maps are, don't you?
Commented 15 years ago2008-11-16 00:14:10 UTC in vault item: Aim_Quick Comment #9547
zomg, how is this a aim map?

sure, it's pretty much a map for aiming, but aim maps are supposed to be covered in the dev textures, not have any actual hl textures x_X

btw, skals is right, spawn killing doesn't help your aim a single bit.

So your having these errors because its cold?

I used to have this problem all the time in the winter, when it would be about 40-50 degrees in my basement, so i created a warmup program on a floppy that i would use when I boot up my computers for the day in the morning.

I don't have the problem anymore because we have better heating.

And nice Gmod creation by the way.

+I played it. It looks nice, actualy a map that is peaceful with my eyes.
my eyes .
+The texture are nicely combined .
+Hey, there are breakable things in this level, horray !
+The the 2 central halls are just superb realized.
+Well placed(after my opinion) weapons.
+The sky combines perfectly with the interior.
-No ambience at all. I should actualy make this "--" not "-"
-No openable doors, vents, stuff like these that are used to diversify a level.
-Monotone lighting. I appreciate you used some "point-lights" for the artworks, but the main lights are too strong for them to be observed.

I can't give you 4.5 stars or 4 stars just for these little disadvantages . I can only give you 5 for the great layout and the important thing : it's peaceful with my eyes !

"i give it a 5 for superb general mapping up until the crash point = )"
Thank you , but please read the map description . That's just the beginning , and you should avoid falling in the pit .If you fall, search for a crowbar and destroy the computer. Don't push any buttons !!!
If you destroy the computer you'll bee teleported back to the beginning of the map. Now go and be careful not to fall in the pit again ! Push 1945, and go back to push the stairs button. They should now rotate ;)
Thank you for the rating , but that's not all ! :D

Potatis, at first I didn't want to leave those yellow dots(they're errors) .But I thought I should let them be there :)

Captain Terror , you aren't reading my post :D
"says missing submerged.wad? (i didn't notice anyone else mention the problem is it me?)"
I even posted a download link ... in the map description

I've never had chickenpox, immune to pneumonia, and several of those bacterial infections caused by that bacteria that is everywhere on everything. Can't remember what they're called. The only thing I get is common coughs and colds.

I wasn't born with an immune system so they planted an accumulation of 36 people's immunity into be and gave me a load of steroids and drugs, this happened when I was 1 yr. old. Since then i've been fine, experienced only minor mutations and I have a natural blood toxin that restricts me from giving blood, but it doesn't harm me.

If I do get it, chances are I am resistant to tuberculosis, and my friend knows that so he's cool with the parties and shit. Also, he isn't coughing or anything so its alright. If he does, he does it into a hankerchief.
Commented 15 years ago2008-11-14 10:25:32 UTC in journal: #5457 Comment #40780
One can live with Tuberculosis all of his life without knowing. Catching Tuberculosis is a fact of your immunity . So if you stay with your friend, it's very probable that you'll get Tuberculosis, but you will never have it because the immune system ( sorry for my english) builds something over the virus and traps it.

He got Chlamydia (spelling?) and HPV from one of his past girlfriends. How he got Tuberculosis, neither of us knows. Its no joke either, he has a mountain of medications to keep everything under control, especially the tuberculosis, which is still dormant and not contagious yet.
