I agree with srry, they change it so often and never has it actually improved anything. Never has an update come out that I said 'Hey this is a nice improvement' it's more like 'oh, an update for millionth time, seems no more functional than before'

I do feel that most modern horror titles are not up to par with what they used to be. For me the best horror title I've played recently is Cry of Fear because it mixes so many elements of scare into it. It managed to stay away from common horror game complaints too, it only had a couple of jump scares from what I remember, did not make you conserve ammo all that often and most certainly did not continuously use the same scare tactics.
In general however, when I'm in the mood to be scared I don't play a game, or even watch a movie. I find myself most scared by reading scary material simply because it leaves a lot to your own mind, which most often will make it much scarier. That is the main reason I think modern horror has gone off track, they don't leave anything to your imagination anymore. They directly show you what's supposed to be scary when they should let you stress it out for bit.

I love New York personally, half my family lives in the city and so I spend a good portion of my summer there. You'll never run out of things to do, that's for sure.

If by "big open underground part" you mean the place filled with all the water. I shrank it, I didn't really like it and never found myself having any good gameplay down there, in fact when I've played the original map I rarely even noticed people down there at all, so I made it smaller and easier to navigate.

Okay in the climbing tower after ladder #4 there's a floating "E" What is it? I'm going insane trying to jump into it and press "use" on it thinking it's a secret or something.

My dreams suck. I had a dream a few weeks ago that I woke up and turned of my alarm clock (when the alarm actually went off I was confused and thought I already did) and last night I had a dream that I put socks on. Most boring dreams ever!

I never understood the hate toward jump-scares. They work, isn't that the goal? So who the hell cares if they've been used a lot. If I was ghost trying to scare the shit out of people I would do just the same.

Paranoia as in a port of the original HL mod? Because from what I remember that mod what great. Unless it's not the same Paranoia, or just a really bad port.
Arg you were the last person I thought made it on account of how you helped me get it to run without actually directly telling me what was wrong like you knew for sure. Sneaky

Very late now, but I can't stop bunny hopping, it says in the readme to crouch but that only worsens the problem because then I get stuck doing crouched bunnyhop and can't get up. Occasionally I randomly stop bunnyhopping but as soon as a jump it starts again.

I'll admit watching the wheel bounce down the road was pretty funny after the initial shock of it all of course.

So did I.
