You shouldn't always rate on looks, this map obviously isn't made to be a pretty one, it's just to have some fun. Your seriousness is scary. If you do give it a 1, then atleast be helpfull and give some advice.
Same goes for like iceworld, it's just a lot of fun, no matter how ugly it looks.

Well, if that map is fullbright, really do fix it. Also, the texturing is repetive and this certainly is the first time I see a box made out of rocks..
Gameplay? Well, i'll be honest, I haven't played but it just looks like a killbox to me..
Anyway, I would get a better screenshot were the ladder is normal and the map isn't fullbright, this way, people will actually download your map.

Well, I guess it's me, but I didn't all found it that impressive. Nice solid DM map, but imho it was slightly lacking.
I simply found the texturing awfull, it isn't because I dislike the half-life textures but I just didn't found it matching. In the xen area I could just get into a vent true a door hidden in the wall.. I guess it's nice for gameplay but meh..

All the good remarks, I thought this was going to rock.. but I was wrong.
I didn't really looked all that nice, I understand it's a puzzle map but still, I would have atleast thought the first room were the guy talked(funny voice. ^.-) would have been all pretty. The whole map was filled with bland texturing.
Puzzles:
The first one was just dull, it wasn't that much of a puzzle was it? Ow look, a button. Presses. BOEM!. Room 1 done.
The second was very stupid aswell. You describe exactly what you have to do, just avoid the light and done room 2. Ooooow the challange!
Room 3 was somewhat interesting, the first part was kinda dull but I did like the letter puzzle, this was the only time I failed, because as the nub I am, I had no clue what the name of the mother of xen would be. Yet, for the people that did know, kinda simple eh'..
Room 4, meh. Easy and boring stuff.
Room 5, bigger meh. I just jumped to seventh and done was room 5! The rocks and then the blackness around it looked really strange btw.
In the end this was a alright map, but I didn't found it any challanging and it lacked prettyness. I had somewhat fun, but this isn't going to be replayer for me. 3 stars for you.

2nd: Rather typical, maps like these get 15+ replies and brilliant looking maps with lovely gameplay get maybe 2 replies unless either Kasperg made it or either Rimrook. So unfair.
3rd: I hate the way how some people review maps. Guys, you shouldn't always review a map true the eyes of a mapper, but true the eyes of a actually player. Looks aren't everything. Just because a map looks rather ugly doesn't mean there is no effort putten in and most of the times, maps like those are very fun and populair, the thousands of players playing maps like Iceworld prove it.

It was alright, the first time I didn't find the 'secret'. No way I can hold of headcrabs that bring me to 1 hp will I have no real walk area to get away from all the other nasty headcrabs.
When I did found out the secret it was pretty easy. Just put the turret, in front a large box and it's just a matter of waiting. When the turret got the destroyed and all the lil' headcrab came to me I just used my gravity gun and they couldn't kill me.
In other words, without secret, to hard, with secret, to easy.

I'm glad you fixed the ammo/weapon thing. The lightning is a lot better, but still needs major improvement. It seems you're (like rowley said) using pointlighs. Textlightning is a lot better looking. I think you should make the lightning a bit more darker. Keep the same lightning over the map, besides the funky red and blue between the 2 convoyers.
1 more thing, between the 2 convoyers you have a floor texture on a wall, change that, because it really looks ugly considering you have that floor texture also on the floor!

This map is seriously, not suited for hldm. The map is to small and cramped, textures & lightning are horrible! Also, ammo and a gun at the same place? No, that just looks ugly.
I like the convoyer thought, they are allways fun.

The map was alright, but I think, to complicated for a hldm map. Seriously, the big rooms would be suicide because of the turrets. Vents are simply annoying and corriders aren't what you say 'FUN!'. The texturing was at most places awfull.
Also, the setting is very strange.. When I first saw the big mountain room were you could walk under paper thing cliffs I thought it was somekind of movie recording thingy. Then I came to the xen room and I thought it was some kind of thing for the scientist to greater there knowledge of aliens.
You also had doors in your map, seriously, doors are the last thing I want in a hldm maps, you take away the fastness of hldm.

I only disagree about the big fat ugly vent thingy, that didn't look right. I dunno, this map just plays so boring. The gameplay doesn't feel right. 1 more thing, the glass is a one time happening, poeple that join in the middle of the game don't even know that there were glass!

The map looked awesome. Yet, I wasn't 'loving it' like hunter and others.. I got frustrated a lot in this map, unlike kasperg, it anoyed the crap out of me. The poision is just plain nasty. How can I ever get those weapons in the poision areas? I figured out you could heal at those pillar thingies but still, I died to fastly in the poison.
It rather pissed me off and I stopped playing the map. Maybe it's just me, but I hated the gameplay. What can I say? I love brainless shooting wich you mostly do in hl maps.
Maybe you made a 'readme' file in the download wich explained the gameplay in details but like I said. Downloaded from server.

I had a fast run tru it and I didn't liked it. The beta screenshots looked so promising!
The rocks are streched and ugly, the lave doesn't flow and the map just looks to DMC-ish. I'm missing the number-1 factor, the HALF-LIFE feeling. The map is also rather small and at the outside there isn't much moving space imo.
I don't like rating unfinished maps so I won't. If I had to, i'd gave 2 stars.

I didn't liked this map. I didn't liked it at all. Mainly because of the crappy lightning, this map is just to fucking dark at some places. I thought some textures looked to toony and some textures didn't match with each other. I liked those chargers by the way, they looked fucking sexy!
The architecture was rather basic, but it did the trick. Nice shit! Ambience was nice aswell. The traps were rather nice, I would like to see how the gameplay would be with them.
I really didn't thought it was a space ship without the lil' space plane btw!
I'm doubting between 3 and 4 stars. I'll be nice and give it a 4. I really don't think this map deserves 5 stars. 5 stars are for brilliant and excellent maps, this is far from that.

Pfft, the hunter stole my story-like way of reviewing so i'll keep it short..
- The water down the elevator was a bit to low for me to see the dead body under it, also, you used 2 func_waters because I could clearly see they weren't going at the same height and time with each other.
- The zombie at the gun wasn't surprising and he didn't even attacked me! I think you should put like 2 zombies there and make the lightning real dark with a glance on the gun. That would be very cool.
- The zombie and headcrab were very easy to spot and before they wanted to attack me, I killed them..
- The itchy's were very easy to avoid. They only attacked me when I shot them.
- The overal map was very blocky and especially very very EMPTY! I would have liked seeing broken computers and scripted sentences like a scientist getting killed, you know, the ussual stuff.
- The conversations at the start could have been smoother, I took a lot of time for them to actually say something against each other wich quite bored me..

1) Fullbright sucks, if you're to lazy to give the map some lights then why even bother mapping?
2)Funny to see that you created accounts (or asked friends) to rate your map 4 stars. Nub.
3)This map is not release worthy in mappers view, it's blocky and boxed out, fullybright and badly textured.
It is release worthy in the default fy nub view. Good job! (not)
4) What's the point of the cl_shadows 0 command?

I did like the hl1 textures in hl2 thought, makes it feel like classic HLDM!
The weapon placements, lightning and texturing were very good.
But the lay-out and gameplay, mmmmm, I don't know..
The map is pretty big and the lay-out confuses me a bit.
Also, I don't think the flares fit this map like they did in your other map, rusty..
The looks of the map on the other hand are pretty bad :

I found the architecture very nice with all the arches, the map was very smooth, the map had a sort of quakish style, wich I personaly like a lot.
The lay-out was also nicely done and easy to understand and learn.
I'd think the gameplay would be very fast with even 6 poeple because the map is very small and there aren't big open spaces in the map.
The texturing was very nice, they matched correctly, but the stripe texture kinda busts out of the rest imo.
Weapon placements was well... good placed
Lightning was also very nice, some yellowish here, some white spots there..
The Atmosphere was very nice with the lightning and flares.
I must say, that you also did a great job on the ambience, lovely!
I really like the part were you could get the overwatch gun, it remembered me of some classic hldm map..
Anyway, i'm giving this map a well deserved 5 stars!
