The "harder" path would be to try to discover weather it is right and true or not which is "good".You might say atheistic approaches are harder; You need more patience to wait for sufficient evidence, while religious people jump to the ultimate conclusion that theists texts are correct. I do consider myself 'agnostic', in that god may exist in some form, but its almost certainly not the Christian definition. God is a concept, or a phenomenon, but its not an omnipotent intelligent being. I tend to lean towards more atheistic views because there is no evidence in favor of religion that couldn't be a mass-placebo effect.
You could also say there is a 'lazy' class among both theists and atheists. There are those who are blindly atheistic because they are lazy, don't want to put in the time, and simply argue against religion without actual reasons. There are also those who are blindly religious because they've grown up being taught what they believe whilst being cheered on by their peers. There's an air of social acceptance around both flavors of laziness that powers the placebo both ways.
Too bad this isn't source. There's an entity to call console commands. You could play with field of view and some other stuff.

I read another time travel theory that states time travel is impossible simply because it would change the past; that potential disruptions in history are the reason we can't complete the trip. The paper I read had lots of physics math above me that included a heavy discussion about closed timelike curves. That's the only buzz word that I remember.
In that case it will be impossible to go back in time unless we can invent a true full-spectrum electromagnetic cloak. We would have to go back in time to an area of space so the time machine wouldn't bump into any rogue particles just floating around (because even space has some reallly small amount of hydrogen). We would have to produce an effect of zero gravity around the time machine (because even small amounts of gravity affects something somewhere). Also we'd probably have to figure out how to redirect neutrinos as well. There's probably a ton of other phenomenon we don't even know about that would have to be compensated for.
By that logic, we really cant go back in time at all to do anything meaningful. If you can observe something, you've already changed the universe.

When a jet is at high altitudes, the water leaves in the engine exhaust at hot temperatures and condenses quickly in the cold air up there. I really hate it when people use the word "Dimension".
A dimension is defined as the minimum number of coordinates (thus properties) to define the state of a system. These include length/width/height/time. Dimensions likely include physical quantities that have been 'abstracted away' in every day thought processes like mass/charges/etc.
You can call something another plane of existence, but stop saying dimension; No one 'dimension' would encompass an entire reality, intelligence, or otherwise. A dimension is meant to be one quantity that interacts with other dimensional quantities to advance a state of some kind. If a bit in computer memory is a dimension, saying "God" exists in a dimension to itself is like saying programmers can write an artificial intelligence as smart as a person with only one bit. They symbolically mean stuff collectively, but not independently.

Hell, we already realize that all of our thoughts are happening through a blob of firing neurons. I don't see why understanding it would make anyone feel different.
If anything, we could get some bad-ass ghost in the shell cyborg implants and bodies so we could talk wirelessly without physically speaking, personally see through cameras across the planet, use robotic limbs as our own, or live forever (as long as machines can keep a brain alive without a supporting organic body) <3
In that sense we could also have virtual reality that literally takes over our senses. That would make video-games and hands-on training awesome. You could learn to paint without actually using paint. Sports might even be fun if the game strategy and control is decoupled from physical prowess. We could be having this conversation "face to face".
Or.. give us all a hint of autism. The kind that allows savants the ability to do math on huge fucked up numbers in their heads or remember everything they've ever read.
At the very least we could tune chemical imbalances.. It's not really changing their sense of "free will" as it is regulating their mood. They can do what they want, but they wont go on explosive or psychopathic killing sprees.

It is nearly impossible for an indi game to get something on steam though. It is supposedly still pretty tough even if you have a great game.

Lastly, the 8/8 is almost no different to the other two configurations for resolutions less than 2560x1600, but the cards that they are using are slightly better too.

The makers of Eve Online are making an FPS for the PS3 that integrates with Eve Online on the PC. No idea how they're going to do that.They're making it so the corporations (guilds of most other games) of the Eve MMO hire corporations of Dust 514 people to fight their planet-side battles for them. Planets in Eve allow people to reap nice amounts of money from them so it's worth it. The hiring corporations in eve will pay for their equipment (tanks, upgrades, those command ships, off map support), and then the individual dust games work like a normal fps multiplayer for the most part.
I dont really know how shitty players will factor into that though. I don't expect good corporations to pay for people to fight who are terrible. There should be a cool air of competition though I think. I just hope they've included safeguards in the game to turn it into a regular shooter if the idea fails miserably.

I feel really excited for Skyrim. I didn't really like the other Morrowind games that much, but they're supposedly doing a lot of work to make all professions equally usable. The melee classes have traditionally been terrible. Also, the setting looks amazing on that new engine of theirs.
Naturally I'm going to play the shit out of the new Mass Effect game. The biggest thing I didn't like about the trailer was that dumb multi-tool blade. I don't like the idea of a holographic blade killing people; It's stupid. It better not act like halo assassinations either. If there's a blade at all I should be able to stab someone in the dick.

Goldsource doesn't have displacements in it, only source which is Half-life 2 and on. Your best bet is to use a generator like Nem's or Twister above that can create displacement-style stuff and save it in terms of normal brush work. Goldsource can use that stuff.

I think the entities that allow you to do that only exist in Counter-Strike as func_vehicle and func_vehiclecontrols. It's not possible to do in TFC or HL, unfortunately.

My comp. org class regularly requires that I pass in "Proof of compilation" with my code, so I usually save the screenshot of my 'proof' onto that. Because it lives on my desktop, I over-write it pretty regularly to save any other temporarily needed pictures so I don't have to type bullshit names.

You should watch the cartoon. It starts at least a little slow, but its one of my more favorite series to date. The setting is great and the stories are well done.
