Take the opengl32.dll out of your Half Life folder before playing online. It'll get you banned.

It's pretty fun and the shaders they added were very impressive(especially specular shading).
The animations drive me insane though. If they weren't just taken from CS, they were unbearably robotic.
I haven't finished it yet, though.

Edit: Finished it. Way too short for a mod that's been in developemtn as long as it's been. Still awesome though, and definitely worth a look.

in Command to execute animation Post #239779
No such command exists. Spike is right, you can do it in Hammer.
Use Hammer 3.5 so that models show up in Hammer, then go to the NPC's properties and scroll down untill you see "Hammer animation". Change it's value and it will change what they are doing in Hammer.

You could also try a cycler. Just put one in your map and shoot it ingame to cycle through the animations. You won't get animation names, though. Only the order they go in.

I don't understand. Why can't we vote for maps made for third party mods?
It doesn't seem fair if someone releases an incredible NS map or something, but is ineligible just because it was made for NS.
Just because some people don't have a mod doesn't mean it has to be off limits to everybody.

If you're using Zoner's tools, you can give entities shadows by changing their lighting setting to opaque.

By Minuit:
Glock 18: Single shot and full auto secondary attack. Does 17 damage per shot in single fire mode. Has a vector cone of 2 degrees, meaning it is fairly accurate, but not perfect in single shot. Secondary attack does 13 damage per shot, has an inaccurate vector cone and punches the screen upward each shot.

Beretta: Has no secondary attack. Does 20 damage per shot, but only carries 15 per mag. Has a vector cone of 2 degrees always.

P228: Does 23 damage per shot. Has the smallest clip size (13) of the pistols, however. Has a vector cone of 2 degrees always.

By the way, for those who haven't started yet(or arne't far), do not trade out the p226 fr the glock. Its much more powerful. And don't trade out the shotgun for the mp5k either. You don't get enough ammo for it and it chews through the little ammo you do have like crazy.

in IDEA for 'Super' Mod Post #237474
It sounds like you want to make something like Earth's Special Forces or Mech Mod, except more broad.
I don't take to class-based deathmatches very well. Classes really only work in team-based games.

If anything, I'd suggest dynamic powers ala The Specialists. Balance each power with some kind of drawback, and have the players choose the powers from a menu before the spawn. Weaker powers would have weaker drawbacks, and so on.
Dynamic powers would be so much more versatile than preset classes that it's not even funny. You'd be much better off, methinks.

Edit: Or if you insist on sticking to classes, at least make dynamic powers for each class. Robots, humans, aliens, and the like would all need a unique set of powers. Perhaps this would work even better, because every power in the game isn't available to you at one time.

If you actually get this off the ground, I might be able to do some animating for you. Mostly in the v_ models department.

The classes in TFC are horribly unbalanced, and the entire combat system revolves around grenade spam. There is NO team effort in TFC anymore, its all medics conc jumping to the flag and bullshit like that.

All the humor in Portal is great, but it seems like Aperture Science is a pretty big deal in the Half Life story, so AS's humor doesn't really fit with HL's serious nature. It throws me off :zonked:
