hey guys
iw as wondering how to make it so a light gives of a glare
like if u played dm_lockdown, tehres the "scary chair" and some lights pointing at it and if u sit, it just glares out almost the whole screen
how do i make something glare like that?
cause i have a light in a really dark place and i want it to work like that

well i did that..and i basicallly did that for all my dynamic models
took one, and moved it to somewhere else witha different model.
oh well ii guess ill go back to cs 1.6 if i cant solve this problem
cause mapping for cs:source without models is pointless

ok i got like 2 questions
1. when i put a model as a prop_dynamic, and i have like more than 3, they dont show up. How can i fix this?

2. when i put a prop_physics_multiplayer, and i like step on it it pushes me back, like its badly done
any suggestions?
pleez.. im just starting off maping for cs:source, since cs regular got boring after a year of mapping=P

cause bassicaly i was making a level with like, a river, and a city on one side, and like sort of a forest/cliff on other side
kind of like manhatten, with hudson river,
but i wanted to put drivable boats and make them give off light cause its a night map, but that wont work.. ill have to make it a dusk/dawn map

hey i just compiled my map.. no errors in the actual zhlt compile window
but when i test the map, and its making the server it freezes
i also tried going on another map, and then switching maps, but it also froze.

hey
i was mapping and now all of a sudden something is wrong
like when you click on a brush, do you know how it gives u like to rotate/skew/ or scale the object
now its just stopped, and it can only scale the object
what can i do to fix this?

hi.. umm.. i put a helicopter in my map

thast because the people use -wadinclude or -nowadtextures
what this is, is just a command that makes the wad file ur using, get included into your map. like the textrues are compiled into the .bsp, therefore no need for .wad file downloads

i have a hostage rescue map in cs
and what i want to do is
that the hostage rescue poinnt is only enabled after a door is open
(roof opens, helicopter model is viewd, and hostage rescue point gets enabled)
is this possible? cause the HRP doesnt have a name

actually rad brad, it doesnt have to be aplied to all sides..
i made a spherical world and i applied the sky texture to the inside top, and u can still see the natrual brush texture on the outside

umm
just take the map that has a name like fy_whatever, cs_whatever, de_watever
anything like that no spaces
then put it in ur c:/Program files/steam/steamaaps/you@whatever.com/counter-strike/cstrike/maps
whew
and then just open up counterstrike
press new game
and select athat map
