I'll have to do some reoding on the skill file.
I made all of the terrorist and CT's to have 40 in health, now, I notice that it will not go out "straight", be cause, you cannot edit the player helth trough skills.cfg, so, I will have to give all the SWAT officers 100 life too, and increas the medium weapon damage to 35.

Here is the system:
A normal damage, such as if you get hit in the leg, takes 1 point (wich is 35, if the weapon is medium good) headshot is 1 point x3 wich is 35x3 = 105 and that means one shot, one kill if you hit in the head.
chest is 2 damage points, = -70 helth.

That is the closest to realistik we can get.

So, if 30 is a bad gun, 35 is a medium gun, and 50 is a great gun, how much damage should your gun do?

(confusing? ;) )

a p90 should be somethin like 40, i think.. :
and the sig should be somethin like 37..

Btw - in the mod beta site, when you click on my concepts, it links to pepper's p90.. :)

Hmm, remove 35, damage levels: 30, 40 and 50.
Sig (the pistole, right?) could do as much damage as the P90 do, the sig is semi automatic and the P90 is full automatic + a 50 clip mag, so, the P90 is still better, ;)
37 makes no difference from 40 anyway..

Oh, and what is the full name of the gun that you are doing pepper? + model number and every thing.

And the weapons should have a damage close to 70/80 depending on where you hit. You wanted realism? You'l get it, keep in mind that should be little to no acuracy whilst running. A bit as in Ghost Recon.

Pepper, 70-80 wouldn't be realistic..
that would equal 2 shots in the FOOT and you are dead. ^^
At least 40 would be 3 shoots in the foot..
50 is the maximum damage, 1 shot in the head, 2 shots in the chest, and 2 shots every where else..

examples:

35, 1 shot in head, 2 shots in the chest, and 3 shots else where.
50, 1 shot in head, 1 shot in chest, and 2 shots else where.

Well if it's possible - you could make the speed of the players' movement slower, when he's hit in the foot. (that is - if you can code) :)

Then change the hit coordinates etc, i assume you got a coder to take care of that.

The vertexes somehow disappeard on multiple files, no idea why. And i always make backups, most of the times i have 20 saved files of one model of multiple stages.

OMG Ive forgot!
Do you think you could make the player hold the weapon in the center of the screen, so he REALLY aims?
And the secondary animation could be that he moves the weapon down to the right side again, but aims worse, but runs faster, or something

Weapon: Yes, that's more realistic, imagen your self aiming like he does in orginal HL,, lol, if you hit, you are lucky.

Yeah, there are serval versions, i decided for a railed expendeble version. The one your talking about is the stock one, but if you want the weapons as in hostile intent, then there is more work to be done, and then il probably have to redo the weapons, though it might be a bad idea since hostile intent is also going to source.

Hostile internt is SP, and it is a totaly different game, so, that wouldn't matter..
The point is, if you do not have to remake the weapons, this should work out.. I think.
You know more about modeling so your opinion is the one that counts the most in this case.
What do you think?

I'd say remodel, since in this case the top and the back are most important, and i'l need to search up some design prints of the aiming reticule on the weapons.

Ok guys, this is it.
I've decided to learn to animate.
I've always wanted to know how to do it, any way.
And this is good be cause, I will know, that every thing is how it is supposed to be, :)

nr 2, The p90 doesn't have to be re modeled though, be cause you press that gun against the sholder and aim, so,, I don't know how that would look in FPS.. :S

Looks like an advanced enough weapon, with, a hand holding thingy, a sholder thingy, and a 30 round magazine.
It also says that is it used by the US special forces.

Hey pepper, just relised something.
We are spending loads of time to make new models, when we can decompile and remake old models.
So I suggest, after we have finnished the pistole and the P90, we remodel the SMG and make it an MP5, I could take care of remaking animations and fixing the sprites in to their right positions.
We could also remodel the magnum to, a five seven..?
I know a friend wich knows where to download a model de compiler, so no problem on that part.
Secondly, I could learn a lot by doing this.
I want to know a bit about modeling too, you know. :)

Well unfortunately I probably don't have as many skills as the rest of the guys here, but I love to make maps & have just got the XSI tool (and I thought hammer looked hard when I first got it). I'm a quick learner though, some of the cool guys on the team here know me from the thread I started about my stolen map. Fixed that problem & want to move on. I have many ideas to offer, which can sometimes be more valuable than skills :D. So basically I can map, design & make textures, do voice (different accents) & hopefully soon model too.

I think pepper uses Gmax and milkshape to make models.

yeah, i use G-max, and madcow that was exaclt what i was planning to do, and it would be great if you would want to do the compiling and fixing animations! Saves me time, since im quite buzzy right now. Not much free time at the moment.
