If so remember to rename your map with teh _cz extension or face teh wrath of the secret VALVe agents. Apparently.

I don't like it, not least because it seems really random.

Two sets of 'stairs' facing each other with an arched tunnel in the middle. Pretty unimaginative, or how shall we say, pretty fucking wierd..

Also, there's too many of these feckin' aim maps about.

I, personally, am sick of them. I'm going to flood The world with aim maps in protest.

Oh, Vassy, it looks cramped, but when you have 8 peopel trying to leave at once it needs to be open, sometimes you gotta put gameplay over looks =/

I also thought teh brown colours of teh blanket and sheet went togetehr well, and there's a green light in teh room now, which actually offsets teh colour! so it kinda looks green, so I think I'll leave it as it is, also because I would have to find good textures for it, and it took me a whiel getting those.
Also, Op4 tex's are too old to be used in Hostile Intent, not least because they're bad. But I will check them out. Thanks for the suggestion though =)

These guys are not butt buddies, they are friends I/we have made by being at this site, I don't see you doing anything but stir up trouble.

I fucked up your maps because you posted shit in my maps trheads one after teh other in a deliberate attempt to stir things up.
That's the way I saw it, what is your opinion?

And to be fair, this is in Unfinished, I am asking for criticism, so at least, once again, try and say what's wrong with the lighting, why you think it's cheesy? (I'm using models for the lights now btw - looks a lot better, those brush lights are bit lame, too square)
The point of teh barracks was to have thigns uniform and tidy. It's supposed to be a military trainign camp (quite far from complete.. =/) so it needs to be clean and tidy.
I thought of adding some bed tables and soem photographs on teh walls maybe, of loved ones etc.

So can we kick this back on topic so I can get some constructive criticism.

sorry buddy, that was my honest review. please explain what is untrue about what i said. i gave you constructive criticisms about it so if you cant handle the truth about your map, instead of getting upset, maybe you should only let your friends see it.

I think if you look in the rmf.fil you find it out, for the Scientist walk you have use a path_corners and it's not so good to do what with monsters, you shall use scripted_sequence together with monsters.

It okay, but in one of the turns the train get in the wall and you se the wall inside the train.
And on one place the track get upp in the botton of the train but what I have fix.
If you look in the rmf.file how I have fix the change level and the train start I thing you get it.
The change level is a one way change and the trigger_changelevel is trigged frome a multimanager, look on it.

Actually, I didn't rate this at all.

It was Rabid getting the rating back to what he thought it should be after a certain dickhead voted it one star multiple times.

Now, you are doing the same thing to me that you are doing to PaLO's maps. You are making complete bullshit negative crap to put on there, just because of the fact that you don't like me.

hmm... 3 downloads 13 votes, and 4 stars. looks like someone's rating his own map...

anyway since i was "asked" to come here and rate this, i will.

+ the fence looks good.
+ nice sky
- the grave stones look like crap. they don't look like real tombstones and are mostly just coppied and pasted. try to vary them (size and shape) and maybe use textures with some writing on them to make them more realistic.
- the streetlamp models allow the player to walk right through them, but block the player in other spots where there appears to be nothing.
- you used cyclers for the skeleton models so they sit up when you crowbar them... looks crappy, fix it.
- the skeleton model that's in the grave blocks the player from getting down there... i think that's what rabid mentioned.
- killing 50 monsters in a row with a crowbar has been done so many times before and gets old quick.
- the headcrab in the dark confined area is pretty played out too.
- the wreckage in the pub and the pub itself look generic as hell. too blocky and too little detail.
- the collumns in the basement look really bad. i don't know what you were trying to do with them, but they look really bad.
- that whole area looks too contrived... like you just put stuff in there for the sake of having something there.

that's all that i remember that got my attention. if i think of anything else i'll add it later.

as it is now, 2 stars.

Nice improvements, love the music placement. The skeleton grave was nice, but I got stuck on a ladder brush and couldn't go down in there. Love the sky as well.

You know one thing that's always bothered me about this map? The pub scale. The ceiling is extremely low...maybe raise it a bit if y'could.

The only reason I'm protecting PaLO is the fact that I have had dickheads doing the same thing to me. So I know what is happening.
