"Ha ok Urby. I wanted a PC from a well known company"

Heh. PCSpecialist.co.uk is advertised constantly in Mags like PCGamer (twice) and on sites such as play.com.

Oh well, enjoy your Dell I guess :|

(Also yeah, I missed the x4. I have 12GB of RAM, not 48 :P)

Jesus! £2100!?

Fair enough my PC cost me a total of £2500 but the RAM, GPU and HDD space are literally quadruple what you've got there! (Actually with RAM I got 6 times more.)

I'm no hardware buff either, but I went to pcspecialist.co.uk and had them build it for me :P.

Anyway, does the random freezing occur while actively working on something or gaming or does it occur even if the PC is idling in Windows or on Standby / Power saving mode?

"Ho ho ho. I will be possibly getting an Alienware soon. I can already feel the envy."

Pfft. Glorified Dell system. Nice enough if you like that kinda thing I suppose.

Anyways, nice rig Pb. Enjoy kicking the shit out of every game ever for the next few years. :P

This is a first map which means it has some leeway when it comes to the score but at the same time it really shouldn't have made it to Map of the Month for March. There were many maps submitted that month which were stunning to look at but for some reason this got six votes. The closest runner up got one vote. This got six votes and made it to Map of the Month. How does that make sense? Guhh.

I didn't enjoy Portal as much as everyone else seems to have. As for Portal 2, I've watched the footage and more recently read the achievements. I know that I'm going to enjoy it.

Valve seem to ooze excellence when it comes to character development and story telling. Portal 2 will be no exception.

I imagine there will be another SnC coop recording on the sncgames channel and I'm sure Archie will link it up for anyone who wants to take a look at the coop side of the game. :)

Might do that though.

EDIT: Not doing that. Leaving now @ 19.0%

Video Review

Bottom Line

I dare say I enjoyed the challenge presented to me by Beach Party, although I probably wouldn't attempt another invasion without a few more dependable allies at my side. The mapping is fairly average but at the end of the day it could have been a lot worse and 2MuchVideoGames should be commended for actually making a map with purpose, rather than a simple beach themed kill box.

I may do this as next weekends vlog though, now that you mention it. Maybe then I could add it to MODDB as well. :P

Very very excited about Skyrim.

I played Elder Scrolls IV but never really got into it because I wasn't really experienced with FPSRPG games. I've tried going back to it since but the game looks so dated compared to the Fallout games on the same engine. The combat just feels too light, (lack of gore, stiff NPC animation, etc) Fallout 3 was awesome too and I never had an issue with New Vegas (better than F3 in many ways)

Both F3 and TESIV were made much better by the active modding community so if they keep the new engine open to modders then I will be very happy.

WRONG!

EA is considered a publisher, distributor AND developer.

Dead Space 2 however was in fact developed by Visceral Games so it might be worth keeping an eye on them in particular to see if they are aware of the bug.

More often than not I will be doing something else while one of my videos renders which can be a lengthy process.

As for the dual graphics cards, the second GPU is currently being used for PhysX and while I know there are few games that take advantage of the tech, it adds that little bit more detail that the old PC couldn't handle.

Either way, I'm happy with the system and it should keep me going for a long time. :)

"Please do not start a war on Nvidia vs Ati because it is pointless. You are not hardware reviewers."

I'm not trying to start a war. I am simply laying out the facts. The last card I had was an ATi and it was appalling. It froze up sooo many times while running games that it was more than capable of running.

Also @Atom: Cos it's fast ^_^

My old card is an Ati Radeon HD 4670 which cut out more times than I'd like to count.

I have decided that ATi are not good at making Gfx cards. :P

@Rabid: It is the most comfortable mouse I have ever used. The humped back fits your palm nicely, the buttons are light and make rapid clicking so much easier, the button below the mousewheel can be pushed fowards / pulled back to alter sensitivity. Your thumb rests on the shelf on the left and you can operate the 2 thumb buttons with minimal movement required.

I'm yet to use it in any fast paced shooters but it does me well in Fallout New Vegas. I have assigned VATS targetting to one of the thumb buttons. I would never have dreamed of doing that with my old Wireless Microsoft Mouse (may it rot in Hell forever)

Need to get hold of a gaming keyboard to match now. :)
