I had a 19" Samsung monitor on my old computer (4:3) and it could pull off 85Hz. I did notice the difference when I switched to this laptop that is fixed at 60Hz. I much prefer 85Hz, it seems so much steadier. Even if I can't tell the individual frames apart (thankfully) 60Hz feels kind of flickery.

Strider wins.
If that was mine, I'd have changed it even if I wasn't into the smart features, if only because it's held together with sticky tape. See, Captain? Mine wasn't so bad.
I'd be sticking with this type of phone but sadly I have already been absorbed into convenient things like group chats in WhatsApp and other equally convenient features. But they're better.

Fun facts about mobile internet:
The HSPA+ standard has a nominal data transfer speed of 21mbps. My old phone had a max speed of 7mbps. I used to think I was missing out until I found out my carrier caps 3G at 1mbps anyway. Now it makes sense how my friend in the US can do video calls on Skype through 3G and I can barely get a single page to load.
The LTE standard has a nominal data transfer speed of 150mbps. I thought that was pretty fancy, until I found out my carrier caps 4G at 5mbps. That's right, a quarter of 3G speed in other regions.
I can't come up with a single reason to do this. Isn't it better for everyone to leave data rates uncapped? Transactions finish faster, which causes less network congestion, which in turn results in a better service for everybody. I guess not understanding it is probably the reason I wouldn't be a good businessman.
Glad I only wanted 4G as an extra lane to get around network congestion, otherwise I'd probably be really pissed.

Happy birthday Archiman! Now you have one year per each hour of the day. Maybe some interesting calculation could be extracted from that but I can't be arsed at this time of the night.

"Life is what happens to you while you're trying to make plans" or something like that.
Don't stress yourself, I had something similar happen to me. I worked a whole year and saved up a lot of money that was very useful later on. Then I started again and things went well. I can't complain, I made some good friends that I wouldn't have come across if I had done things on schedule.

Neither is listed in the cyanogen site, so I can't do much about that for now. Also I've had bad experiences with LG in the past. Don't know anything about Nexus though.

Ha! I think I haven't done any either. Maybe I will.
For some reason my computer has a crapload of fonts, but they all look pretty much the same. I don't know where they came from. Aside from all the ISO* that come with AutoCAD, those ARE all the same.

Yes Stojke, I am completely stupid and agreed to the download without knowing.
Now that he's out of here, for everyone else, I did not. I'm completely sure I never once agreed to anything, and all this did indeed happen without asking or telling me. Then I was told I was supposed to "opt out" rather than opt in, which would kind of explain it. Still doesn't explain why I didn't see any option to do that anywhere. Everything looked too opt-in.
When I turned on my computer today it BSOD'd on me on boot (I think it was the first BSOD since I got this computer three years ago) and I feared it was going to boot to W10. Thankfully it didn't and I hope it was just a coincidence.

I did get the (almost forced) update to Android 5.1.1 a few hours after getting the update to 4.4.4, after which somehow word prediction got worse.

As for the caps, I don't mind, it works for me.

I probably won't be getting it though, it will definitely get a very high imports fee that I won't like at all.
Consider me in Antarctica.
I've only been on the Canary Islands for a grand total of about 4 hours. It was a refuelling stop for the plane

Waiiit a minute. Yeah... I'm pretty sure I've met that girl. That must be it. Can I have her number so I can check?
