If you do source do the de_bedroom source one... its not worth doing the normal cs1.6 de_bedroom because I didn't know about wadinclude at the time and everyone would have to DL the map seperatly to get the textures

in Motherboard, power supply, or both dead Post #201783
While were bringing up issues with power...

Ever since I upgraded my motherboard and CPU last week my computer has been about as stable as napalm. When I turn the power on manually (flipping the power supplies switch in the back) all the lights will turn on for like 1 second and shut off... Then when I hit the power switch it will either:
A) Blink on for 2 secs, shut off, blink on for 2 more, off, repeat
B) Turn on for 10 seconds or so, start to boot, shut off half way through

It doesn't normally do this, only after being off for a while.. It did this today after being off a day.. And after doing option B about 10 times it just gradually kept turning on longer and longer and now... It is on for good (I hope)

Power supply came with teh case but its 450 watts and was okay - but I'de put all I have that its the problem, right?

Learning is for losers! Mostly in computer programming class learning things I already know...

I found a much better solution to the problem :P, as long as I install it on the Mac's hard drive and not my network storage space it lets me install things lol, 5 of us were having a Quake 3 Arena tourny :P

Oh and just for the hell of it - the schools computers are SHIIIIT! They probably paid like 200$ each for them maybe(but since our school has hundreds of them its understandable)- luckily comp programming has some of the newer ones but most of the computers cant even play a youtube video without lagging. So basically.. What I am trying to do is have a way to play real video games at school (Not just crappy flash online games). Is there a technology that would let my remote desktop to my computer and play these games at a decent FPS... I tried doing RealVNC and I think it runs at like .4 FPS - unplayable not to mention the color depth is only 16-bit /cringe

Any thoughts/ideas? These damn Mac's wont let you install programs so that the only option I think would work lol

Dude the original twintowers map was an awp map before 9/11 or anything. It consisted of 2 empty floors with windows facing the opposite building, and the roofs. It was actually a decently fun and simple map for a few rounds.

Edit: Oh and I forgot to say it was for CS 1.5 lol

A Lesson In Color:
Using a red ball as an example, the reason that it is red is because it absorbs all other colors of light (White light is actually RGB mixed together). Thus when white light hits it, it absorbs the GB and reflects the white. And thats my lesson on Physical Science for the day!

I find nothing wrong with advertising as long is it doesn't get in the way of the game... People play games all the time it would probably be a better industry for advertisers to get into... I mean imagine if de_dust had advertisments, they would be seen more times than any commercial could possibly ever give.

Ehh I have to say I fall over for eye-candy... I love games that look nice and I'de have to say as long as its playable I'de probably enjoy it. The perfect example is HL2 and HL1... HL1 is at the point where I just don't like looking at it, it just seems outdated to me. HL2 (Source in general) is awsome because I sometimes just stop to admire how realistic everything looks. That one CS:S map where its just the house with hostages inside is a perfect example. I just like to run around and look at stuff for a while, and it's even cooler playing on it.

It's late that whole paragraph was just to say that I perfer graphics>gameplay.

You should add an "Installation Instructions" part for when you submit a map.. That helps the author to make sure that people do it right and you don't get comments such as "it no work i put on desktop" (exaggeration :P) and also makes it easier for people wanting to download it :)

I think Sony is stupid, and I have been a fan of the Playstation since the first Crash Bandicoot! Charging that much for the PS3 will even make the Playstation fans incapable of buying it (Since I'd guess the majority are kids). I would have bought it if it were 200-300$ but they crossed the line of console gaming by doing that.

I just don't like the idea of the Wii in general, won't be buying it.

Out of the 3 gaming companies I think Xbox is the smartest and will turn out on top. They released their 360 early and for a much much cheaper price. And by the time the PS3 comes out, they will probably release another, better, gaming system (And for cheaper).

Not to mention Sony is already in trouble because of the problems they've had with their laptop batterys, I think that the PS3 might come close to breaking them. (News: It was discovered that sony laptop batteries blow up (or just create fire w/e)! GG! Apple, Dell, Toshiba, and a couple other major manufactures demanded a recall and Sony had to foot the bill for all of these expensive laptop batteries.)

That looks exactly like a game I played on newgrounds.com rofl...

As to why their rape rate is lower it could be because their more open about porn (basically), it gives people a way to vent their sexual urges. Or punishments could be stricter, I'm just throwing things out there.

I don't think that games like that can reach the western world either... I remember seeing a game just like this before from Japan - the US banned imports or something like that.
