Wait, what? I'm not mapping anything at the moment. I can't map Source and my system can't map GoldSource. I'm just focusing on the reviews. When I say "the few maps that I've been assigned too" i meant the ones I need to review for MOTM.
Also, "MOTM is 1 year behind." Untrue! We are working hard on catching up, we just aren't showing you guys anything until the team is happy with what we've got. So hush.

Your theory is b0rked. GTA:San Andreas was way bigger than GTA4. Also, if that is supposed to be Max it looks like he spent the last few years sleeping in a field.

I've never been particularly interested in Watchmen. It's been in the cinema for a week or so but it just doesn't take my fancy.
Also, 4 blue penises? It's not selling itself all that well.
Maybe its a scoring system.
"We give this movie: 4 Blue Penises out of 10."
I would like to point out that I had to look up the correct plural of 'penis' in order to make this post grammatically correct. Something I hope I never have to do again.
Sajo seems to have a thing for immensely difficult deathfests. Personally, I hate immensely difficult deathfests. As a mapper, I can think of few who are better. 1214 is worth a look and definatly one hell of a challange.
Reissues is a truely inspirational collaberation of maps from a range of experienced designers. Gameplay can be a little sketchy in some areas and some bugs can ruin the experience. However, it is definatly worthy of at least one playthrough.

Copyright is all about the theft of "content" without the proper authority and all that crap. If they had called it Alien Vs. Predator: (Crappy SubTitle Here) then they would have been sued. Same as if they had used footage from AvP.
However this is a budget, knock-off movie and while the stories may be similar it will be all original footage shot by a different production company and blah blah blah.
If it was illegal to use "similar" plotlines in movies and games then there would only be something like 50 games and movies in the world. Things like spoofs and most porno movies would be non-existant and that my friend would be a very sad world indeed.
CP_Goldfinger is a fairly average TF2 map packing fast-paced, action-packed combat into a very small area. However it doesn't bring anything new to the playing field and in terms of gameplay seems a little unbalanced especially for the support classes. As such seems a little flat and uninspired.
This map is beautiful in its own way. It is a translation of dedication and attention to detail in the form of a well made map and deserves recognition from both TWHL and the Black Mesa Source team. The only let down is that there isn't really much entertainment value besides the tiny Easter egg.
All in all, this is a nice gimmicky mod to play over the holiday season but its obvious bugs and glitches would make it a little intolerable throughout the rest of the year. However with a few minor updates this mod could quite easily become one of the more unique and entertaining games available for the dated Half-Life platform.
Though this mod is the best thing to turn up in the TWHL map vault this month I wasn't looking forward to it in the same way I'm waiting for 6 - D or Flat-Life. However, having played it I must admit I was pleasently suprised. The maps are just as gorgeous as you would expect from a Playbus / Kasperg production and if the duo ever release an update which fixes some of the gameplay elements (e.g. Reducing the number of F**KING MANHACKS!) then It would be worth replaying. Until then, I'll keep waiting.

I like it. I don't see any fullbright textures. The light tiles on the floor is part of the texture (I think)
Here is my mini-review
+ Like the cave, good use of VM + Like the alterations to the room before the cave too for that matter.
- Light textures along the bottom of the wall are off center in several places. - Not a lot happening in the cave and the boid flock always seems kinda glitchy to me. - Lighting in the cave seems off. :/

The map was fun to play and I do think some of the brushwork is amazing. Here is my brief review.
Having loaded the level I look around the room. A mug is set on the table and the books have fallen in a well built domino position. The computers are nicely detailed and the pipes are nothing to complain about either. The inside of the tank is gorgeous with the plantlights swaying in the water and the xen "muck" spreading across the drains.
Then comes the next room. Again beautifully built and the submerged pipe in the floor leading out of the room gives the impression that this machine is doing somthing elsewhere in the facility. Where it goes however I may never find out.
Then I look at my colleages. Considering the lift is missing and I can hear sparks and other unearthly noises from the level below they are just frozen. They stare at the walls. The lack of action is rather dull. Every now and again they will babble to one another about the dimensional breach transmitting organic matter but they still just stand, staring at their consoles. Maybe they are in shock. I also get no explanation of the situation at hand and barney looks on silently as i lower myself down into the watery lower level. I look around and see more of that incredible brushwork but unfortunatly I notice a seam in the edge of the 2 func_water entities. A shame. I hop over the crates into a T junction and suddenly the levels savior (the great detail) vanishes. I find myself wondering through a few empty hallways. The lights go from white to red and an explosion catches me off guard. I jump. Suddenly its gotten interesting again.
I kill the zombie and the headcrab blistfully unaware that I missed the HEV in the locker. I carry on with no idea as to my health or my ammo counts. Then I get to the pool. I look at all the possible ways of getting across. The stumps on one side, the remainder of the walkway to the other and the ladder straight ahead. I know ichy well and he only attacks if. A) You attack him first or B) You swim around in his territory for too long. I dive in and paddle across to the ladder, duck under the wooden beams and continue to the end of the hallway.
In a nutshell: +some nice and detailed brushwork +very good ideas
-Missed the HEV 1st time because it isn't compulsory to continue the level. -After the flooded part it got very plain. -Ichy part isn't challenging enough -No scripting (sequences and sentances?)

CS is generally an online game and its a pain in the arse to sit through a download when connecting to a game. SP maps are much more straight foward. Download and Play.

Maybe I'll find him this time.
1 more. Lets make this news post the best it can be! Go Team Retard!

Oh and gratz.
Now I have to change my underwear...
...because I came in them you see?
Happy Birthday Release version 1 of Half-Life. I'm sure the next 10 years will be just as grand.

I thought about buying it because it was ?2.97 in the Woolworths budget chart so I could review it on YouTube. The thought passed rather quickly.

Gib room crashed HL.
The Hammer room is very well made but so long as the fatal engine crashing problem remains I don't see this getting top marks in the compo.
Sorry.
3/5 (1 of which counts for the great brushwork.)
