Did you use a func_pushable for the gravity? Hope it's not glitchy in server and plays the same as sv_gravity in scoutzknivez. Want me to test it out in my server?

Btw this sounds awesome man, can't wait to play it.

Tornadoes struck near by here in Houston TX and major flooding in the area but I got lucky. Only had to deal with heavy traffic for a week. Tons of people's homes were flooded along the bayous and reservoirs.

Hope your power stays on man!

Thanks for the advice guys, i've been watching the news on it and it seems like the coast is going to get hit the hardest. There's huge drainage sewers in my apartments parking lot but if I lose my truck i'm only out a few thousand. I'll talk to my family and see what they suggest I do. Going to hit the hardest tonight or saturday morning.

I agree that lumber construction is a complete joke these days but it's economical at least. My apartment has some steel beam construction though.

Sorry for your loss. Glad she made it to that age and with such a horrible disease. I still have my grandpa on my mom's side and my grandma on my dad's. My grandpa isn't doing too good though as his mind is beginning to slip a little. He accidentally drove into Houston Tx all the way from Garwood Tx the other day! My aunt had to drive him home!

Stocked up on groceries for expected power outage for a few days. On the third floor of my apartment so wind might be an issue. We'll see. Got a truck so if water rises in the parking lot i'll drive it onto the curb. Got plenty of beer;), water and food/ mostly fruit and canned stuffs. Time to party!

In big projects there are tons of starts. Those are the hardest parts. Get started before your mind tells you to lay on the couch or something else and then momentum will build. Take it from me, been working on the same damn thing for over a year and finally finished it.

My favorite thing to do is crank down the AC and put on a warm plaid shirt, maybe sip some wine and get to work.

Thanks dude. Yes I did, originally bought a pair of gears but in order for them to fit the other parts I had to 3d print them. So I measured and 3D modeled them and then up scaled them to make them stronger.

Hehe, actually considered making it spin either way for throwing as some potters throw the other way but for me, counter clockwise is perfect. If someone were to produce this wheel they could just add the bar that holds the bike hub mirrored on the other side and then flip the sprocket and chain when they want it to go the other way, but they'd also have to flip the shaft gear I think.

And thanks!

Very awesome re - interpretation of half life!

Noticed two minor sound glitches.

1. After you go through the same teleport, the second time you do the noise doesn't activate. Then the third time it does. You probably know the fix but just target the sound twice each time with a multi manager. So that it toggles it on and then off each time. You could probably fix with Audacity by adding cue points to the sound file but either way should work.

2. Also, the turret sound. Just download audacity for free and chop the noise to single shot so that it doesn't continue after firing.

Besides those nitpicks, what an awesome map! Good luck in the competition! This one's definitely up there swingin and punchin.

Nice clean re interpretation of the level! I can't stand it when there's vertical release that the player cannot access however. But the map is very tidy and nicely made.

Yes. I noticed the sound file is bigger than the map itself though lol. The style reminded me of fy_poolday from counter strike 1.6. I like the simplicity. For goodness sake, choose a better screen so you can get some dl's! Hehe. And as far as it relates to snarkpit, it's pretty minimal though lol. Sorry if I sound like i'm talking it down. I enjoyed it.

Played with low grav, high air acceleration and high maxspeed it's friggin fun! Those seagulls were on point. I might restart my entry.

Really the fun colors and textures exuberate with charm! I can't quite put my eye on it but something seems familiar, haha. ;)

That bounce pad with the bow on it in the center of the map is dead. I see you tried watering it, only time will tell.

Hmm, do you race for the bow or the long jump at first? I'd go for the long jump.

Anyways, pretty neat little map.

I liked it. Very pleasing atmosphere. Some of the visuals were epic like the room with the two curved ramps from the crossbow platform for example. Vertical relief is used heavily which is really nice.

Some minor criticism would be that some things felt a little clunky/ bland. I believe it is due to the scale and the textures used like that god awful neon slime. I just feel like there's plenty of resources online not to mention that you are great at making textures to use better ones. Another thing I noticed is that the textures used reminded me of a map called torture that I submitted a long time ago. It was cool to see someone else use the orange walls paired with concrete, blood and bright lights.

Besides my small criticisms, this map is a small gem and has some really cool areas to take in. I can imagine it making for some awesome gameplay.

Oh, and that ball, well now it's interesting to see you put such a cool design tucked and hidden away. I likes! Very half life!

Oh yea, and maybe change the direction of the conveyor belt and allow it to push the player to help boost through that area.

The screen shot alone vividly depicts your plethora of knowledge on structural engineering and integrity, texture alignment (which you're a fierce beast at (ask Archie, I think he'd vouch for you on it.)), FAN F'ing TASTIC re skinning with advanced technology such as uh idunno ms paint? You are a pro with the fill bucket and that magical click within the lines honestly makes my legs tremble a little bit.

You've brought new lights to Nintendo's golden gun with gold source's advanced shaders HD (heavy duty/High definition/heavy dump) developers kit. Um, i'm no expert but you must have used sledge to make this in order for such complex diagonal cuts to even consider possible rendering within anywhere near on grid. I see this mod is a bringer of tears to all who play and even those who contribute to its creation. What a beautiful thing, almost like a toucan or a old rusty dented trash can in the wind rolling into the street that one must dodge in the neighborhood. Very beautiful, makes me cry myself very often. When i'm on the john and I remember those bosses and how hard they were, I often find myself scared and alone but then my floating friends join the pool party and warmth, yes warmth falls below me. The ever so familiar odor of achievement and spatial calamity constitutes a divine barrier that if one enters, it's their problem, not mine, sort of like i'm the spider and my feet don't stick to the web.

Mc poker, you've poked me Myles C. right in the heart, i'll never forget what you've forged from void in this time capsule that I hope climbs the cyber escalator to eternity. I would rate, but five stars would be like offering a whale a minnow to eat in this case.

In my mind's eyes; compare it to this saying. When the benefit outweighs the risk, you take the risk "if you so choose."

In existence in general, I think the good outweighs the bad, so with that being the case, existence is simply true if you are born.

This unfortunately does not pertain to some people's lives. "The bad might outweigh the good in their existence." So for those you can only hope they get another run. And hell, you can only hope they get an infinite amount of chances to get it right.

There's no telling for sure, but it would make sense that when you die, you have the option to go again or not. Either that or if the case is that when you die "if your entire knowledge of existence lives in your brain" then there's two things that will set you at ease. Number one: don't worry about it because you can't know your dead after your brain and entire body checks out (you die). Number two: you might try living each day like your last because you believe or are convinced (don't have faith otherwise) that this is all you got. That's where a lot of people turn to religion, it's just a bunch of choices you make. You can even have faith without religion.

So like I say, i'm here right now because when I died I chose to live again, since the beginning. Either that or it was an accident. Now the beginning implies that there is one, but that's just non sense in my mind's eyes. A beginning doesn't make sense although since so many things we experience have a start and finish like a vehicle, a toy, anything in reality that vehicle comes from various stuff that was already around. It was just organized together in a certain way. So you might fear that "we are so complex" that when we are destroyed we will never exist again but that's like saying in an infinite amount of time "reality's medium" your combination of complexity will never reconstruct itself on its own. Well you might not remember it when you come to exist again on another planet in a trillion years but it sounds highly probable when infinity is the playground and chance is the father of everything.

Why do you think technology is so advanced? It's simple. Anything that's worth remembering is stored somewhere. If you are worth remembering, your span of being remembered will go on for a certain amount of time. Probably not long enough for you to live again while those memories can be found realistically but who cares.

In general I think it makes sense to live your life to the fullest you can. Sometimes it involves taking educated risks. Hell without such the case, we might not exist...

Might I add, you should probably consolidate your objectives. Mine used to be a ton of shit. Now, it is to "make good furniture". When you have less goals, you have a lot more time to focus on what is important to achieve them successfully.
