Megaupload users lost a loooot of files when their servers were confiscated. Megaupload was then restarted as Mega. So here, have a mirror. Just in case.

It's basically just the map scoutzknivez with some blue and a logo. If you like that kind of map (I don't) just put the regular scoutzknivez on your server instead, as a lot of people already have that map and this one is no improvement.
Player passes thru trigger (1) which causes Barney (2) to move to position (3) and say (4).
Then Barney just stands around babbling.
Player then attempts to open gate which activates trigger (5) which prompts Barney to say (6) and execute (7).
Door opens, light comes on and player goes into next room to get the HEV suit which has a trigger_changetarget (9).
Only after the player gets suit and walks back out to the hall will Barney open the gate. But Barney’s not opening the gate.
I want Barney to wait for the player to come back before he opens the gate because the player may be in the room for various amounts of time, I’ve tried the timing thing but don’t like the way it works.
I’ve tried Vlatitudes Two-way trigger tut but still don’t understand it.

It looks like you have covered the basics pretty well! I think beginners would find this helpful. I'd like to say two things to any beginners though, which were left out: 1) Surf maps are meant to be played with sv_airaccelerate set to 100 (the default is 10). So when you start a surf map, open up the console and type "sv_airaccelerate 100" and you will have a lot more control when surfing. 2) When surfing you don't need to use W (forward) or S (backward). So forget about those keys as soon as you hit the ramp 3) When playing on a modern computer, make sure "fps_max" isn't too high or else you'll occasionally suddenly lose all your speed on a ramp because of how the game handles player movement and physics

You clearly put a lot of effort into creating a horror atmosphere. There are a lot of little effects and unfortunately some visual glitches. Nice work!

You put a fair amount of work into this and it has a pretty good layout for a surf map. I kept getting stuck in one of the ramps, but then I realized that that was because I had my "fps_max" set too high - that always causes problems when surfing.

hlife_hotdog, I replaced the download link with one to a copy on my website, I really hope you don't mind, if not I apologize. Your file has been removed from FileFront and The Might Carrot's download won't work for most people anymore after browsers changed how they deal with HTTP links on HTTPS-protected websites. The download is just a few megabytes too large for TWHL's new file size limit of 16MB.

It looks good for a first map, but there is simply not enough content (about 45 seconds worth of gameplay) to justify downloading it. I hope you kept mapping

Because this is a single-player map (so it doesn't matter if different people have different versions) and you don't actually use anything from adams.wad (which can't be found anywhere) I have modified the BSP to remove the requirement for adams.wad so the map is playable

I managed to load the .map by reducing the length of the "wad" property of the worldspawn entity using a text editor. I have taken the liberty of adding an RMF version to the download - I hope that was okay, Soup. Everyone who has trouble opening the .map should be able to open that RMF.

If anyone is wondering, the "napal" in "cs_napal" is "napalm" misspelled, not "Nepal".
This map is:
- Four walls. Two of them have "BLODKORVEN" written on them.
- A sand floor.
- A sky.
- Spawn points.
Your de_dustcool looks a lot better from the screenshot and apparently that was your first map? Odd.
