Why not put a sky brush, slightly thicker than the rope, around where it's gunna go (so on top of the guillotine)? The sky'll look normal, 'cos it's drawn by dark magic.
This must be one of the most original Example Maps, I must say.

Superb. Doesn't run the best ever (performance) but is looks amazing.
Glad to see a small map, too. I like little maps, 'cos I often play with just a couple of real-life friends, and until VALVe release bots for DM, sometimes it's a little empty.
Only thing I can think of to criticise is the slightly over-tight skybox.
Best custom map for Source I've seen yet. Really beautiful. Five stars.

All you guys saying that it's corrupt, try it with Winzip 9, it might be super-compressed with that - or download the files seperately (see the map description for the URL).

+ Runs + Really nice brick barricade thing by the doors - Lags like hell - Really boring architecture - Unrealistic: doors too shallow, floating elevator.
Not all bad though, I can see you're starting to get the hang of entitywork. I'd definitely recommend practising with all the Intermediate tutorials now in single-player maps, just for your own practise. Have a look at the Example Maps in the Map Vault, too.

Was very fun. Not-at-all-bad architecture on the whole but some dodgy bits. Tht texturing and lighting were a little crude (did you run rad with a very high -chop value?) though.
Not that puzzl-y in my opinion, but four for the fun

If you use -nowadtextures then I reckon you're likely to be using Q-Tools and should immediately stop mapping or get ZHLT, available on the Links page. NOW.

+ Really superb internal architecture at the start + Excellent VMing - Not utterly glass-ish - Managed to kill all but two of the end grunts without the fade and without cheating
Three stars. A good first map.

Can't believe I've been here so long.

Kindly do so.
