Label it HLDM if it's an HLDM map in future!

Moved because it wasn't an example map. In fact, I'll probably delete it when I come across it again.

Three stars. A good first map.

Make sure you tag your maps properly in future please (the Mod field of the submission form).

Label your maps properly in future. There's a "Mod" field. Use it.

Sorry, but I can't see that it usefully demonstrates anything in particular. Moved to Unfinished.

Not specific enough to be an Example Map. Moved to Unfinished.

Why not put a sky brush, slightly thicker than the rope, around where it's gunna go (so on top of the guillotine)? The sky'll look normal, 'cos it's drawn by dark magic.

This must be one of the most original Example Maps, I must say.

"If your ZIP is bigger than 2MB, you can upload it to your own webspace and link to it instead. Link directly to the file."

Kindly do so.

Why not use the hacky coloured shadows in ZHLT? Give a nice diffuse feel. Maybe a mixture, half-blurr'd, half-sharp, that might look nice.

Superb. Doesn't run the best ever (performance) but is looks amazing.

Glad to see a small map, too. I like little maps, 'cos I often play with just a couple of real-life friends, and until VALVe release bots for DM, sometimes it's a little empty.

Only thing I can think of to criticise is the slightly over-tight skybox.

Best custom map for Source I've seen yet. Really beautiful. Five stars.

I concur, far too boxy. All that's Sourcey is the cars. Distinct lack of cubemaps, too.

All you guys saying that it's corrupt, try it with Winzip 9, it might be super-compressed with that - or download the files seperately (see the map description for the URL).

+ Runs
+ Really nice brick barricade thing by the doors
- Lags like hell
- Really boring architecture
- Unrealistic: doors too shallow, floating elevator.

Not all bad though, I can see you're starting to get the hang of entitywork. I'd definitely recommend practising with all the Intermediate tutorials now in single-player maps, just for your own practise. Have a look at the Example Maps in the Map Vault, too.

Quite nice, but a bit of a too-wide-too-low feel in some of the corridors. 3/5.
Commented 20 years ago2004-10-24 05:13:26 UTC in vault item: Museum Lockdown Comment #4710
Was very fun. Not-at-all-bad architecture on the whole but some dodgy bits. Tht texturing and lighting were a little crude (did you run rad with a very high -chop value?) though.

Not that puzzl-y in my opinion, but four for the fun :)

Yeah, I made one-way-glass, kinda like a one-way-mirror but the 'opaque' side didn'a reflect. Messed up anyway, the file deleted itself. This'll do.

If you use -nowadtextures then I reckon you're likely to be using Q-Tools and should immediately stop mapping or get ZHLT, available on the Links page. NOW.

Don't put it in the Example Maps if it's just a demonstration of one simple entity, that's like having a G-Man example map :|
