His DMC map wasn't his first attempt, this was. So why he released them in the wrong order, I don't know but from this to his DMC is an obvious improvement.

No, to be frank, i didnt download the map, that would be a waste of time. But you basically just explained the whole idea to yourself, popular aim maps that are fun have been made (eg aim_map), this will (i assume) never be popular. Also if you try and make it look good, the rspeeds go up, and thats not the point of aim maps now is it? They are for fun. Just do your self a favor and stop making aim maps today. We want to see some effort, not some crappy aim map you slapped together as fast as you could. To me aim maps are even worse than dust remakes, they have less skill and are all quite the same. I guess i cannot really think of any constructive criticism because its just an aim map. So like i said, put some real effort into a map. Most people here wont even bother downloading this map because there have been so many aim maps. ill tell you what, a fountain in the middle would be awesome, maybe a tower at start? just a suggestion. maybe some props in the maze to confuse people, eg repeated pot plant in corner or something. and also as for ambient sound, i think a tune could be played when player goes by the repeated prop, i have the tune in my head, its an idea from zelda, links awakening, its short note mysterious sound. Any that would be for hl2

the hunter, i dont think you understand, aim_ak-colt isn't dreadful, just to a mapping community it may seem so. Out of everything you can rate a game on, it all comes down to gameplay, with aim maps alot of people enjoy them, and also its great for improving your aim. Props aren't too great either in aim maps they can be abused, like those stupid trees in the source aim map, and also not to mention lighting, the lighting on ak-colt is fine and dosn't need to be changed, aim maps arent suppose to be visualy appealing. But honostly WE DON'T NEED ANY MORE AIM MAPS with out themes and effort. I totaly agree with Hunter here, because its all been done, so what can you do? Move on to themes. Leave the old maps, they are good, nothing will beat them. kthx

i rememerb comenting on your first post of ravine. Vertex manipulation is hard with those stupid invalid solid errors. I am hopeless at it, you seem alright at it. and i like the enviromeant in that screenie with the waterfall.
