Wow, that was pretty good Textures were well done for the most part. Puzzles were interesting, though one was just luck I thought Fairly good architecture, and it was fun which is the main thing.
I got the word in the room quite easily, I knew you'd choose something like that ;D

Fair comments. I have been trying to get as many comments as possible, and pretty much all of them have been about lighting, so I shall try to make future maps lighter.
And I was going to submit my map on Snarkpit, but I found it to be slightly uhh..unweildy. I couldn't find anywhere to submit a map. I went to the maps page, where it would be logically, but I couldn't find anything. But I am not really bothered now, I might try and submit my next map there though.

Thanks Masta Killa. I will make future maps brighter.
And Orpheus, I am not completely sure what you mean...But in the past I have seen many great maps being spammed 1 star becuase a person doesn't like them.
If you look in the vault at some maps, you'll see 2 downloads and fifteen 1 star ratings. That is why I disabled the rating.
But Orpheus, what could I improve in this or future maps to make it say..a 3 star, or even a 4 star map then?

I left the rating off because all the other maps in the vault just get spammed with ratings, either high or low. And to be perfectly honest, I expected you to low rating spam it.
Anyway, what exactly was wrong with it? How can I improve?

Hmm..Interesting. Personally I thought the lighting was fine. But when you have made something you rarely see all the faults.
I made the map quite dark because I wanted to emphasise the texture lighting, which I was quite impressed with at the time, since I only learnt to do it on this map. And I tried to put the lights in key places to lighten the map up in certain areas, but also leave it quite dark.
Since every one seems to be against the dark, I guess next map will be brighter, now you all have to wait another 903 days for the next one ;D

Thanks buddy I have taken those points into consideration for any other maps. I guess their hp where pretty high, and it was a bit uncertain as what to do.

Quote - I think G_kid remembers it hehe...It was so good that he asked "Why I wrecked Half-Life with such a terrible map".'
Haha yeh, those where the days. ;D And really I don't think this map should actually be rated. It doesn't deserve a high rating, a low rating, or a rating at all. It's not like you would be rating his work really at all, it is just a carbon copy of someone elses work.

SaltyCrack, you absolute tool. He jsut asked for some useful comments, what do you come out with? Crap. I was just about to test it, but realised it is for CS.
But I can give you some pointers regardless of not having played. *Work on creating inspiring and imaginative architecture. *Texturing needs to be varied and try to fit a suitable theme. *The layout needs to be developed on paper until you have worked out something that is fair for both sides, and working out where choke points are etc.
If you nail those 3 your map will be great. :]

Hmm, it was okey, I wouldn't say great though.
+Some parts where quite detailed. +Weapon placement was okey, not bad, no real faults, although perhaps make a certain uber weapon in a harer place to get, with some kind of catch to getting it. +Vent above the largeish glass room was a nice touch. +The corridor with the yellow stripes was very nice.
+/-The lighting was okey, not great, could of done with a larger variety of colours than standard white really.
-The texturing could of been bumped up a bit, it all looked quite samey. -I didn't like the glass room at all, the glass was way too thick for my liking. -The hole in the wall to get to the AR was a bit poor really, needed some kind of trimming. -Some rooms needed a lot more detail and attention, such as pillars sticking out, shaped ceilings, decals, gratings on floors etc. -Needs a focal room I think, although that room with the generator was neat, there needed to be something to draw people there, which relates back to my point above, with the uber weapon being somewhere with a catch, liek a trap etc. and in the room where people will be drawn to it, thus large fire fights.
Quite a good map overall, although I can't say I like it to be honest, nothing really wrong...just some maps are fun to play in, but this kind of lacks a certain fun factor.

Very good, not particulary scary, but the hologram flying towards you was good. +Nice textures. +Nice placement of monsters. +Don't go outside the walls. +Lighting as Trapy said, I thought of Tron really when i saw the map. -You get the assault rifle, would of been better without it. -Ending, even though i got all but one zombie to kill themselves i couldn't kill the last one, and i just exited. -The clocks where back to front with the 9 being where the 3 is supposed to be and so on. -Sounds? where?
Still a great map, sa they are just minor concerns really. 5/5.

I was actually very impessed. The vents were nice and not just a small corridor. The laser that smashes through the window and wall is very nice. Set your sights higher and make maps with story because you are good at the lasers, and sequences. 3/5

Oh god why do people like you torture half-life like this? This is the worst map i have ever seen. -Texturing atrocious. -Repeated textures. -Bland textures. -Roof textures used on floor etc. -Pointless use of weapons. -Fell out of map at the second map change. -When it says "yes we have been observing you for quite some time", theres pics of "gordon" as a child, adult etc. But on one of the pics hes a little white child, then he's a black dude. -Pointless rooms, that are too large. -The voice is coming from literally nowhere. -The lights come from nowhere. -Bad lighting. -Bad architecture. +The map change works........ occasionally.
