ya know, the map size may have been low because most of the textures are 64x64. but i found out that 64x64 texture crank up the r_speeds.

Haha, someone must like it, so far I've found this on three mapping sites which I didn't put it on!

I don't mind though, of course. It's just a bit wierd - I got to submit it to a new place, and it's already beaten me there!

Hurts my eyes but not bad for a start, just remember from now on not to submit simple maps like this that only take minutes. Make a map and spend 3 months on it...Then you'll be fired up ;)

How do you make such nice turns?
The textures are turning to,, you know..
Is the turn made by several brushes, so you rotate the texture for ech brush? :S
Or is it some other trick?

I don't get it? What is this? The screeny shows nothing.. :S
Is it like, before a levelchange in HL2, when you're in a tunnel, and the tunnel end is all white (By a sprite)?
Or is it the same thing, but no level change, and the closer you get, the more you can see of the other side of the sprite?

I've had some reports of graphical problems, but they don't happen for me, and most people didn't mention them just a few did.

Well, this map took me more than a few mins, mostly because im new at mapping and havent figured out time saving ways of doing things. Right now im not going to change it unless theres some major problems, but i will think about going back and adding some more cover, i just dont know how i want to do it yet. I was also wondering if i should use a differnt texture theme???

Well it certainly was entertaining! The mapping wasn't amazing but it was good for a standalone mini map pack.
The story was interesting and that Father Gregori bit made me laugh my head off when you hit him :P

Although there were some bugs i'll give it an 8/10 because it could be improved in mapping standards, the sequences however were grand! and finally the story was clever ;)

I had a look but I don't know how to do scripts for HL1

it's much pickier than HL2 is

I noticed the scripted_sequences don't have targets or action animations - just wondering if this is right, as they would be required in HL2.

well i didnt plan on getting into a lot of detail, i just wanted to make this map to figure things out and do something i wanted to do.... BTW it still looks ok doesnt it, i spent a little time choosing the textures and lining up the lights and stuff...... Im jsut new and am doing little projects to build some skill before i do a lrage project thats all... THANKS FOR THE COMMENTS!!!!

Yeah, you are right, I was planning to put a dozer in the middle, but did not get the model for the moment. Also I've tried to make a deathmatch version of this map, ans CTs seem to loose very fast. Need to do something about that.

The only sound I've added so far -- try to crawl far enough into the tube in the ditch. I will think adding some ambient when I finish. About the ditch - yes, I need to make it more realistic

I just wanted to say to those of you who thought it needed something, I didn't have any room in the map for anything else. Patches were near maxed, and compile time was about 9.5 hours. I was going for pure detail.

I am remaking this map for HL2, and may fix the version to be lighter. Also, the rain on this map needs major work...

I probably will add alternate routes and such to make it less monotous and possibly do some tweaking to improve overall gameplay. Thanks for the tips.
